Selected as this is a unique site set in the beautifully laid
out gardens and orchards of a magnificent château, not
far from Lisieux. As the name suggests the main focus of
this site is the dovecote overlooking the pool. All the
facilities are housed in attractive stone-faced buildings.
Strong emphasis is placed on traditional camping in a
peaceful atmosphere, enhanced by lovely verdant
surroundings. Some of the facilities are a little dated, but
the site is well maintained and is very popular with
British clients, as there are no mobile homes. Gites and
appartments newly installed in the chateau's
outbuildings are now available for hire.

Flat, grassy, generous in size, individually marked out, but not
defined by hedges or trees, giving a spacious open feel to the
camping areas.

Swimming Pools
There is only one pool on site, a good size for swimming about
25m x 12m. There is no children’s pool. The immediate area
round the pool is cobbled and without sunloungers but there is
plenty of space for sunbathing on the lawns which surround
the pool. The pool area is not fenced in.
Activities on Site
Directions
From Pont-Audemer. Take the D139 to Cormeilles and then
follow directions to Lisieux along the D510. The site is
well-signposted along the D143 and is situated 3km to the
north-east of Moyaux. From Lisieux. Follow signs to Cormeilles
along the D510. The site is well-signposted along the D143.
Cycle hire. Tennis. 18-hole mini-golf. by bar. Children’s play
area. Inflatable slide for little ones. Football pitch. Badminton
net. Games room with pool tables and electronic games. TV
room. Small reading room and library in the lower part of the
Colombier, overlooking the pool with comfortable chairs. Small
fishing lake.
From A13. Take exit at Pont l’Evêque and follow N175 towards
Rouen. After 5km turn right on D534 to Cormeilles. Then
continue as above.

Sanitary Facilities
Two toilet blocks which are becoming a little dated but are
very well maintained and originally built to a high specification.
Toilet seats and toilet paper. Individual showers and wash
cubicles with hot and cold taps, hooks for hanging clothes, A
good number of enamel sinks for washing up, two washing
machines and two tumble dryers. Disabled facilities. Baby
room. Chemical waste point.
Moyaux 5km, Lisieux, Honfleur, Deauville, various cider and
cheese factories.
Services
Shop, small but reasonably well stocked. Need to order bread
and croissants the day before. Bar open from 8pm until
midnight for over 18’s only in the Le Colombier
(dovecote).Take-away open from 6pm till 8.30pm. Further bar
area with crêperie. It is also possible to have dinner in the
château two or three evenings a week on reservation.
Barbecues allowed. Dogs accepted. Internet and free Wi-Fi with
rather intermittent reception.
Accommodation
There are gites in the stables, the farmhouse and even in the
dovecote. There is also an apartment to rent in the château.
