Winners named in ‘Shop Chamber First’ campaign
We are very excited to announce that shoppers turned in over 400 hundred receipts to the office in
response to the Greater North County Chamber “Shop Chamber First” campaign.
The awareness campaign, which ran from October 1-31, encouraged residents throughout North
County to spend their money locally at Chamber members, which in turn helps make for stronger
businesses, stronger schools and stronger communities.
As part of the campaign, consumers were eligible to win one of five gifts. The winning receipts
were drawn at the Chamber’s November Membership luncheon.
The winners and their gifts were: Ogbai Merache, a Kindle Fire HD; Madonna Gove, a $100 Hendel’s Gift Card; Teresa Hauser, a $75 Schnucks Gift Card; Christine Keil, a $50 Nagles Gift Card;
and Elizabeth Wade, a $50 Quick Trip Gift Card.
The receipts came from a multitude of Chamber members, who offer different services and products. These included Schnucks, Dierbergs, Quick Trip, Mobil on the Run, Hendel’s, Randall’s,
Handyman Hardware, Brief Reflections, McDonalds, Goeke’s, Fritz’s, de.lish, Nagles Papa Murphy’s, St. Louis County Library, Sandie’s Interiors, Crown Vision Center, Ameren , US Bank, SSM
DePaul Health Center and the Florissant Civic Center Theatre.

Chairwoman’s Message
As 2013 comes to a close, I look back and am thrilled to say we’ve had an
amazing year within the Chamber. Our monthly membership luncheons have
grown. We have had more opportunities to network with our Business after
Hours, Morning Coffee Klatch, Lead groups, fundraising events, and our
Women in Networking lunches. Our Chamber has also celebrated many ribbon cuttings with new businesses opening and expanding in our area. We remain North County Strong. The success of our chamber would not be possible without our dedicated members. Thank you for being involved!
We recently completed our “Shop Chamber First” Campaign that ran through
the month of October. The chamber office had over 400 individual receipts
mailed to the office to be entered in our drawing. Not only our chamber
members became involved, but our community as well. Thank you to the
Community News and the Independent News for advertising our campaign,
and to all of our businesses for promoting the campaign. It was very exciting
to draw the winning receipts at our November membership luncheon. Thank
you to everyone who participated and assisted in making this a great success.
We will be planning another Shop Chamber event in the upcoming months.
Thank you to all for a wonderful 2013! I wish everyone a happy, safe, and
blessed holiday season!
