The Spring 2013 New Member Showcase was held at Yacovelli’s Restaurant on May
15th. Thank you to the following new members who showcased their products and

Chairwoman’s Message
I, for one, am very excited to feel the warmer weather, the sun shining, later evenings, and flowers
blooming. There are so many opportunities to get outdoors and enjoy this beautiful weather in our
North County area with all the wonderful parks that surround us.
We have been very fortunate as we move into the summer months in St. Louis. I want to take an opportunity to send out a prayer to the people in Oklahoma who recently encountered those devastating tornadoes. My heart goes out to each and every one of those residents who are trying to move
forward in the face of loss. It should also be a reminder to us that our Midwest location makes us
vulnerable to those same tragedies. It is very important for us all to be prepared in our homes and
businesses. There are many ways to reach out and help the neighbors of Oklahoma. I hope we can
all step forward and extend a helping hand.
I would like to thank all the companies that joined us for our New Member Showcase this past
month at our membership luncheon at Yacovelli’s. It is so exciting to see our organization continue
to grow and diversify. Thanks for joining our Chamber and sharing your information and the services you provide.
Let’s talk about some fun and play time. Jon Vogt and the golf committee have been working very
hard to prepare another successful golf tournament. And it is right around the corner! If you haven’t
yet, there is still time to sign up as an individual golfer or a foursome. The event will be Friday,
June 14th, at the Golf Club of Florissant with a noon shotgun start. We have a great day planned
with wonderful food, drinks, and prizes. I have asked my special friend to do the rain dance for us
and he’s been very successful for many years now. You know who you are (Kevin!) Come out and
join us for a great tradition with laughter, food, and fun!

Thank you to the Paul Cerame Auto Group for hosting the Greater North County
Chamber of Commerce May Business After Hours. Chamber board member Dick Cerame
and the Cerame Family held the event at their Ford location. The members and guests
enjoyed some delicious food purchased from chamber member Catering To You Banquet
Center along with a variety of refreshments. Cerame gave away several attendance prizes to
