2016 ARCHBISHOP’S ANNUAL
APPEAL
Archbishop’s Annual Appeal
Has surpassed the 8,500,000 goal
with a participation rate of only 19%
across the Archdiocese! Our next
goal is to reach 25% participation!
Thank you to the parish families who have made a
gift or pledge commitment to the 2016 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal. If you have not yet had the
opportunity, please consider prayerfully supporting
the many Good Works of the Archdiocese of Hartford. Every gift counts, every gift is needed in
helping us reach our parish goal of $95,000.00.
Every gift will be gratefully received and sincerely
appreciated.

Appeal website at: www.archdioceseofhartford.org/

BUDGET CUTS THREATEN
TRANSPORTATION TO CATHOLIC
SCHOOLS
Currently, towns are obligated to provide transportation to our Catholic schools. The current budget
threatens this mandatory obligation of boards of
education to provide safe transportation services.
The budget under discussion threatens this obligation, which will result in a significant burden to our
schools. It is imperative that Catholics unite and
call the Governor and the leaders of the Senate
and the House in order to protect, preserve, and
restore safe transportation for our Catholic
schools. Here are phone numbers to call:
Gov Dannel Malloy 800-406-1527
Sen. Martin Looney 860-240-8614
Rep. Brendan Sharkey, 860-240-8541
“Please restore and protect mandatory, safe, and
reliable transportation services for our Catholic
school children. Our schools save the state $420
million.”
STUDYING AND PRAYING GOD’S WORD
FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS!
The Archdiocese of Hartford Catholic Biblical
School offers a comprehensive Bible study from a
Catholic perspective. Interested adults should
contact the office of St. Thomas Seminary by August 15. Classes begin in Bloomfield, Hamden,
Southington and the Waterbury area in early September. For more information, check the website
www.orehartford.org or call Jill or BJ at 860-2425573.
GREGORIAN CHAT - June Deadline for all articles is May 27th. Email them to [email protected].
