CONTEXT
Construction Equipment market has resumed boom on the back of infrastructure thrust from the
central government. A report by Off-Highway Research indicates that India’s construction equipment market is set to re-establish the double digit growth of the last decade.
While on one hand, India presents a huge opportunity for construction equipment industry, on
the other poses unique challenges in building environment. Usage of the machine is quite different from that in developed countries with machines working up to twice as much in India in a
year. Indian customers are price sensitive.
