The Prairie Creek Inn is an exclusive luxury getaway destination in the heart of
West Central Alberta. Our luxurious full service country inn is open year round
and specializes in romantic getaways, weddings, special occasions, outdoor
adventures, and corporate meetings and retreats – all in a quiet, secluded
setting of towering spruce trees and beautiful Alberta landscapes.
We offer 13 guest rooms including 9 luxury suites,
2 executive guest cottages and 2 studio cottages,
each with its own unique style, décor and
personality. We also have a 50 seat casual fine dining
restaurant called Heartstone, a professional meeting
venue in our Deerview Meeting Room and a 150 acre
property bordering Prairie Creek.
With our exquisite decor, scrumptious complimentary
breakfasts and casually elegant dining, we have
become a getaway destination of choice in Central
Alberta for couples, individuals and groups who
prefer a small, quiet, luxurious, unspoiled country
resort to escape to.

Our Elopement Package is designed for couples who
prefer to slip away and say “I do” with a short, sweet, more
intimate wedding ceremony. We can provide it all
– a fabulous ceremony, caring witnesses, champagne
celebration, exquisite wedding dinner, a heavenly
honeymoon suite and even breakfast in bed – nothing
short of sensational in every way.

* A 1 night stay is available with Sunday thru Thursday
bookings only. The wedding ceremony for 1 night
bookings must take place after our normal check in
time of 4 pm.

Let us take care of all the details for you.
After you’ve made your reservation, we’ll provide our marriage commissioner’s
contact information so you can discuss the details of your ceremony and learn
what documents you need to bring with you. You may arrange to meet in person
the night you check in to get acquainted and shore up the final details of the
ceremony, although this is not always necessary.
We’ll provide you with a list of photographers in the area, and any referrals to hair
salons or other services you may require. We’ll ask you to provide a colour and/
or flower preference for your bridal bouquet or we’ll just order a classic hand tied
bouquet of white flowers with greenery and a matching boutonniere. This will be
delivered to your room an hour or so before your wedding.
Once you check in to your room, you can scout the grounds or the Inn to choose
the location for your ceremony. You have your pick between a spot…. »» Beside Prairie Creek or anywhere on the grounds (weather permitting)

After your complimentary breakfast in the Heartstone Restaurant the next morning,
you may have hair appointments, want to tour the area or just spend time getting
ready. We’ll set up the chairs and signing table for your ceremony and make sure
everything is primed for you. The marriage commissioner, guests and photographer, if you choose to hire one,
arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony so it’s best to be prepared for some last
minute details and early pictures.
After the ceremony and an exciting photo shoot, you’ll have a bottle of
champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries delivered to your room where
you can toast your new life together in private, or with your guests.
When it’s time for your dinner reservation, you’ll take the short stroll over to the
Heartstone Restaurant where a special table will be set for you. Order a bottle of
wine or special cocktail and treat yourself to a fabulous 3 course gourmet dinner
with the $150 dinner voucher you receive with the package. If you have guests,
we’ll set aside a table large enough so you can all dine in style and celebrate your
special day in a stunning location overlooking Prairie Creek and the grounds.
And to top it off, the next morning, a full hot breakfast will be delivered to your
room so you can have breakfast in bed and spend a leisurely morning in wedded
bliss before you have to check out.
We’re hoping it won’t be your last visit. Most of our wedding couples come back
year after year to celebrate their anniversaries at The Prairie Creek Inn. Love is
always in the air here.
Policies - Elopement Package

A credit card number (Visa or Mastercard) and
a 25% deposit is required at time of booking. The
balance is due upon check in.
»»
A 2 day booking is mandatory on weekends –
Friday and Saturday night.

A 1 day booking can be accommodated from
Sunday to Thursday only.

A maximum of 4 additional guests are allowed
with the Elopement Package. Events larger than
this must be treated as weddings which requires
exclusive booking of the entire Inn. See our
Wedding Planning Guide.

A special table for 2 will be booked for you in the
Heartstone Restaurant on your wedding night
(or a larger table to accommodate additional
guests). Dining is therefore with other guests of
the restaurant but you will order off our special
3 course Dinner for 2 Menu and we will provide
all the attention you deserve for your special
wedding celebration. Your $150 dinner voucher
includes your dinner, GST and gratuity however
wine or alcoholic drinks are extra.

Please note that the dinner feature of the
package is not available for Sunday, Monday
and Tuesday bookings as the restaurant is not
open these nights. Your fees will be adjusted
accordingly.

Check in time starts at 4:00 p.m. and check out
time is 12:00 noon. No early check ins please.

Guests not staying at the Inn must not arrive
earlier than 30 minutes before the ceremony and
gather in common areas of the property.

Cancellation Policy: There is no charge if you
cancel within 14 days prior to your check in day.
Your credit card will be charged 50% of the total
charges if you cancel with less than 14 days
notice and 100% of total charges with less than 7
days notice.

The Package does not include charges for a
photographer, salon appointments, special
services, equipment or extra accommodation
required for your guests. Please refer to our room
rates listed on our website and book and budget
for any additional rooms you may require for your
guests.

Dogs must be well behaved, be confined to dog
friendly rooms and must be attended when on
the grounds. Owners must clean up all dog waste.
