Message from the Director:
I
hope that you are surviving the winter. While the cold
weather may be taking its toll, players continue to warm up
to our Cruise for Cash scratch-off. Dreams of setting sail to a
tropical destination have spurred sales of this unique ticket.
The Cruise for Cash Bash, held in January, proved to be a
rousing success with more than 4,200 people signing up for
a chance to win entry to the celebration. Those randomly
selected to attend, and their guests, had a terrific time, and
five lucky folks walked away with winnings in hand.
The Maryland Lottery continues to come up with new, fun and creative ways to
win. Our $2 Million Logo Hunt is proving popular as is our retro scratch-off.
Maryland Lottery players are enjoying their strolls down memory lane with the
nostalgic graphics.
As we look forward to spring, we have other exciting products and promotions for
our players. The Black ticket makes its dramatic debut, and Keno Sprinkler once
again will be a rainmaker for sales of this popular game. And, of course, as the
temperatures rise, so do the number of Lottery events. We soon will be out and

redesigned website. Mdlottery.com includes
enhanced features to provide players with
a wide range of information along with a
state-of-the-art interactive experience.
The website’s new features include: full
integration with the Lottery’s blog
Sn@pshots; a drop-down menu; winning
numbers quick view; complete social
integration with Facebook and Twitter;
historical numbers search and archive;
and an enhanced prizes-remaining page
for scratch-off tickets. The site also
features MDLotteryTV, which provides
more original video content, as well as
videos straight from the Lottery’s
YouTube channel.
And in other website news...
slots.mdlottery.com was also
launched. The site contains
information on Hollywood
Casino Perryville and Casino
at Ocean Downs as well as
updates on progress of the
state’s slots initiatives.

Retailers Put Lottery Front and Center
One Stop Convenience in Reisterstown puts the Lottery right up
front with their huge sign and emphasis on great service for their
customers -- like offering winner incentives for cashing tickets
in their store. The result has been a rise in sales along with the
satisfaction of its Lottery players.
Lottery play is the center of attention
at the Bottle & Cork, a high-volume
Lottery retailer in the Towson area.
The store has a display of 54 instant
tickets for sale, three terminals and
a generously-sized seating area for
players to watch Racetrax and Keno.
That all adds up to sales that exceed
$35,000 per week. Thanks to Mr. Jung
for being an excellent Lottery partner!

Win Big with Ravens Cash Fantasy
During the Ravens football season, after every Ravens game, three
retailers were selected to win $500, $250 and $125. If the Ravens
won, prizes were doubled to $1,000, $500 and $250. Congrats to our

year’s Ravens Cash Fantasy game a huge success!
