PlayCentral HD - Scientific Games
PRODUCT SHEET PlayCentral HD Interactive high-definition self-service kiosk for instant, draw, and other lottery game sales Breakthrough retail technology Scientific Games’ new PlayCentral HD technology takes the self-service lottery experience to a new level. At the heart of the PlayCentral HD is a 42’’ full HD touchscreen display with a 3-D graphical user interface that offers unique interactive capabilities. PlayCentral HD puts the player in command of the game options and the information they want to access, while offering all of the features expected in a self-service kiosk and more: ■ 24 instant games ■ All lottery draw games ■ High-frequency draw games (where allowed by law) ■ Payment with cash, credit/debit card, or mobile (i.e. Android Pay or Apple Pay) ■ Ticket checking and validation ■ Age verification ■ Integrated advertising display ■ ADA compliance ■ Multi-lingual A powerful user experience at your fingertips Our PlayCentral HD is breakthrough retail technology for consumers and disruptive for lotteries – for the first time offering a “shopping cart” experience similar to internet retailers. With high-definition visuals, the PlayCentral HD’s advanced self-service vending technology allows consumers to select both instant and drawing-based games, complete their purchase with cash, credit/debit card, or mobile (i.e. Android Pay or Apple Pay) – a lottery industry first – and play their games in one immersive experience. Players are in control of the entire purchase experience, including whether to view games using our unique 3D rotating carousel or a grid view showing all games on-screen at once. Advanced sorting makes it easy to view games by type, price point, most recent, and more. All of this enhanced player engagement can only be provided by technology with such an interactive and dynamic user interface. Unparalleled detail When selecting an instant game for purchase, players can view the full-size ticket, front and back, along with other unique information like top prizes, 2nd Chance drawings, odds of winning, how to play and more. While traditional push-button retail terminals only allow players to see a small portion of the ticket through a plastic window, the PlayCentral HD has the ability to provide much more information to the player about the game play, top prizes, 2nd chance drawings, and more. ©2016 Scientific Games. The virtual playslip’s 2D-barcode can be easily read by the PlayCentral HD’s barcode reader to process the play just like a paper playslip. Although most U.S. lotteries don’t allow players to purchase lottery products via the internet or mobile yet, through interactive mobile apps they can connect with their players, extend engagement with the lottery brand and integrate mobile with the retail purchase in a simple way. Advanced features Networked to a central data center for operational excellence and analytics, the PlayCentral HD provides valuable insights into player behavior and purchasing trends. This information not only helps to ensure the PlayCentral is stocked with the games that players want to play, but also provides insights into game preferences through other sales channels. It also features beacon technology that allows for proximity marketing to actively engage registered players through their smartphone mobile lottery app of possible promotions, upcoming drawings, hot games, and other timely information. Validation and vouchers The PlayCentral HD can validate all instant and draw game tickets under a prize value threshold determined by the lottery. Prize winnings are credited to the player’s balance of funds in the kiosk. The player can use the funds to purchase additional games or cash out at any time and receive a voucher. Vouchers can be re-inserted into the PlayCentral HD with the funds transferred to the player’s balance or validated at any lottery retail terminal in the state. Evolves with changing needs The PlayCentral HD software-based touchscreen interface allows the lottery to add new games, update existing games, revise branding, update the layout or change advertising by simply updating the terminal software remotely from the central system. The PlayCentral HD can be easily modernized, which makes it the most likely solution to evolve with the lottery and meet its changing needs in the coming years. Targeted relevant advertising content Content on our Lottery InMotion™ integrated advertisement display can be customized for a specific PlayCentral HD kiosk, for instance, targeted messaging for a specific partner retail chain account. This allows cross-promotional content to be displayed, providing a value-add service that benefits the retail partner as well as the lottery.
