All the staff at White Flyer would like to take this opportunity to thank you, the shooters and the gun
clubs/ranges, for your continued business and support. Our commitment is 100% to you! Without
your business and input there would be no need for us to produce targets. The shooting sports are
something that we all cherish and we want to make sure that all have the opportunity to try our wonderful clay target games. So far this year, the registered shoots in all the venues are up in attendance
and recreational shooting at gun clubs is at an all-time high. White Flyer certainly appreciates the
opportunity to provide those targets to you; the shooters and gun clubs. Our pledge has always been
to provide you with the best quality target that can be found. Part of that commitment is to sponsor
and donate to organizations, shoots, and gun clubs as a way of thanking you and helping to perpetuate the shotgun sports. As a staff of shooters and former gun club managers, we at White Flyer understand that it is important to give back to our sports. Too often this is overlooked by many but we
all have common goals of shooting as much as we can and promoting safe gun usage to help make
the shooting sports grow.
We hope you enjoy the content of this new White Flyer newsletter and will work with us to make it
better than ever. Tell us about your shooting experiences; something that you encountered at a
shoot, make suggestions etc. Your input will be greatly appreciated and we do want to hear from you
positive or negative.
While we continuously work to provide the best finest quality target on the market, input from shooters and clubs is an integral part of what makes us the #1 Clay Target in the world. Best of luck shooting to all of you.

White Flyer History
Reagent Chemical and Research, Inc. entered the clay
target market in 1979 with the
purchase of White Flyer Targets
from Olin Industries, the manufacturer of Winchester ammunition and other products. This
purchase signaled the end of an
era that saw Olin-Winchester
provide clay targets for the
shooting sports from their infan-
cy and the start of a new era for
White Flyer and Reagent Chemical.
Currently White Flyer operates
four state-of-the-art target manufacturing facilities throughout
the United States to ensure
total coverage of the country
plus Canada.

Community Outreach.
Our White Flyer Target Plant in
Webb City hosted a food drive
from February 29th to March
21st. We challenged all of our
Webb City employees (White
Flyer & ProSys Divisions) to
collect as much non-perishable
food as possible for the Joplin,
MO area food pantry Crosslines
Churches. Crosslines has contributed to more than 6,000
families needs in the Joplin
Area in the past year. Crosslines receives an average of
410 food requests per
month. One half of the families
who receive benefits, have at
least one child under the age of
18 living in the household.
Congratulations!!
Also at this time, 1 in 10 seniors in the United States lives in
poverty. Food pantries like

Way To Go!!!
“Our world
revolves around
shooting and we
wouldn’t have it
any other way.”
Meet Lauren Burge
She is a 13 year old shooter out
of Mt. Pleasant, TX. She started
shooting four years ago and
competing in the last three
years. She is a very driven individual who has a goal to one
day shoot in the Olympics.
Lauren
shot her
first 25
straight
when she
was 10
years old
and just
this past January she shot her
first 100 straight!
The reason Lauren loves this
sport so much is because she
gets to meet new people with
the same interest and travel
with her family.
When Lauren is not shooting
she enjoys camping, reading
NSSA Magazine and listening to
music.
After graduating high school
Lauren would like to continue
school and get her medical
degree, to pursue becoming a
Cardiologist.
Lauren’s Mom, Teri Burge, said
“We now spend most of our
weekends traveling from town
to town attending shoots. Our
world revolves around shooting
and we wouldn’t have it any
other way.” Both Teri and Chuck
are very proud of Lauren’s accomplishments.
We wish you and your family the
best of luck.

Browning - Briley Sporting Championship
The annual Browning-Briley Sporting Championships were held March 30 to April 3 at the Caney
Creek Sporting Clays facility outside Teague, TX. Attendance was up from 2015 with over 512 entries. Weather for the event started with temps in the 80’s then rain and cool temps arrived – 39
degrees on Sunday morning. The Staff at Caney Creek led by Justin and Beth Bounds, did an excellent job of running the shoot. Coupled with the Setters; loaders; office help; food personnel and scorers, this was one of the best Sporting events I have ever attended. Target presentations were excellent and despite some gusty winds at times, good scores were recorded. Saturday evening the
Bounds Family hosted a dinner for all the shooters that was top notch !! During that dinner Scott
Grange of Browning gave away numerous Browning Shotguns and other Browning equipment to the
delight of the crowd. The folks from Briley also gave away thousands of dollars of Briley Gift Certificates and a Mattarelli Trap Machine – a big thank you to these great sponsors !! “Kids and Clays”
Foundation was also in attendance and they conducted a Silent Auction of many shooting items before dinner. Doug Jennerett, the ED of “ Kids and Clays” did a great job and raised close to $7500
for Ronald McDonald Charities.

The results of the Browning-Briley are as follows:
Main Event Champion – Theo Ribbs – 186x200
Main Event Runnerup – Bobby Fowler – 186x200
Preliminary Champion – Gary Greenway 97x100

FITASC Champion – Jon Kruger – 86x100
FITASC Runnerup – Theo Ribbs – 85x100
Five Stand Champion – Tony Rivera – 93x100
20 Gauge Champion – Jon Kruger – 92x100
28 Gauge Champion – Jon Kruger – 95x100
410 Bore Champion – Jon Kruger – 95x100
Photo by John Imboden, Clay Shooting USA
Super Sport Champion – Will Van Dusen – 47x50
Addios Cup Champion – Brandon Reising 93x100
Addios Cup Runnerup – Jon Kruger – 90x100
Overall, the Browning-Briley was an outstanding event. Kudos to Scott Grange of Browning and the
Briley folks for all their support. The 2017 Browning-Briley will once again be held at Caney Creek
and the exact dates will be published. The Caney Creek folks raised the bar and with their scheduling the US Open Sporting two months from now, the attendance already is over 1000 shooters.

Q’s & A’s
1. I’ve noticed that some White Flyer Targets have a “slot top” design while others
have “golf ball style dimples”. Why is this?
All Standard Pitch AA’s produced at our Central and Eastern target plants utilize
the “golf ball dimple” design. All targets produced out of our Western US plant
have a “slotted” design. Why? Simply put, when we purchased the Western plant it
housed the old Eclipse Target Company, and to the present we’ve continued that
design. If you look at the White Flyer line of biodegradable targets, you will notice
that we have incorporated this “slotted” design for their manufacture exclusively.
2. What is the difference between the Standard AA pitch trap/skeet target and the
AA pitch pheasant target?
For the most part they are identical at 108mm. The main difference is that the
Pheasant AA weighs a few more grams and is built to be thrown further and faster
than the Standard AA. Hence, we recommend the Pheasant AA for all sporting
clays applications.
