Corporate + Hospitality Partners
Historic Hudson Valley extends special thanks to the following Hospitality Partners for their generous support.
The following Corporate Partners provide crucial support for Historic Hudson Valley's education,
preservation, curatorial, and digital programs. These companies form a prominent network of partners that
share a commitment to the historical, cultural, environmental, and economic vitality of the Hudson Valley.
BNY Mellon • Burke Heat • Con Edison • Corporate Consulting Services, Ltd. • Crown Products
Diversified Insurance Industries, Inc. • Entergy • First Niagara Foundation • Green Mountain Energy Company

Partner Spotlight
What’s fresh, electrifying, and green all over? Historic Hudson Valley’s new corporate partner and Participating
Sponsor of the 2014 Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze, Green Mountain Energy. The company created buzz under the
Blaze tent last fall by pitching the power of renewable energy to thousands of passersby.
"Partnering with Historic Hudson Valley
was a natural fit for us," says Tyson
Schoelzel, New York Area Manager at
Green Mountain Energy. "Not only do our
local roots run deep, but we also share
a strong commitment to educating the
community. Given the power of Blaze,
it made sense to harness that energy
and reach as many people as possible to
change the way power is made."
Prior to its Blaze debut, Green Mountain Energy had already sprouted across New York State. It made national
news in 2011 by striking a deal to provide 100% renewable energy to the Empire State Building. The following
year, the company teamed up with the NFL to power Super Bowl XLVI with renewable energy.
Similar to HHV’s eco-friendly library and headquarters in Pocantico Hills, which uses a geothermal heating
and cooling system, Green Mountain harnesses renewable energy sources such as wind, sun, and water. Its
origins trace back to Vermont, where it launched in 1997. Now based in Austin, Texas, where it blazed a trail for
alternative energy, Green Mountain has grown and is now the nation’s longest serving renewable energy retailer.
Beyond the luster of Blaze, Green Mountain makes a durable impact in the community. Through its Sun Club®
program, the company has donated solar panels to local non-profits including Bard College and Lincoln Center
for the Performing Arts, enabling them to reduce their electricity costs and their environmental footprint.
Similarly, HHV looks forward to building an “ever-Green” partnership that rivals the illustrious sheen of Blaze.

Union Church of
Pocantico Hills
Pocantico Hills, NY
Stained-glass windows by European masters, commissioned by
the Rockefeller family, adorn this unassuming country church.
Henri Matisse’s last work, the Rose Window, and nine windows by
Marc Chagall create a dramatic combination of light and color,
art and spirituality. Step inside and be inspired.
