Spring is almost here!!! Flowers are
blooming, temperatures rising and
so is the real estate market!
Housing inventory is still low with
only 16,157 active listings in Maricopa County as opposed to 38,039
that were active the same time last
year. There are currently 12,284
Pending listings and 12,703 homes
have sold already this year.
Last month we were at 6,626 homes
that had sold so far this year so in
one month we have almost doubled
in sales!
Scottsdale has 2,410 homes for sale
and Paradise Valley only 309 homes on the market. This is
good news to those of you who are considering putting your
home on the market. Buyers are serious and the market is stabilizing and slightly moving upwards. There is no better time to
buy or sell with our current market conditions and interest rates.
Please call me to discuss any of your real estate needs. I am
optimistic about this year and hope to keep the energy going by
helping
ARIZONA CENTENNIAL
In honor of Arizona’s Centennial celebration, we offer the following fascinating
Arizona facts
Arizona became the 48th state and
last of the contiguous states on Feb. 14, 1912
Arizona has more than 26 peaks that are more than
10,000 feet in elevation
Arizona’s disparate climate can yield both the highest
temperature across the nation and the lowest temperature across the nation in the same day
RESTAURANT
REVIEW
Did you ever eat at
Richardson’s on
16th and Bethany
Home before it was
burned down? If you
did then you remember how completely
fabulous the food
was. Great news!!
Richardson’s has opened again adjacent to Rokerij (his
other restaurant) at 16th and Maryland.
The inside of the restaurant is an exact replica of the original
restaurant—talk about déjà vu!!! The outdoor patio is one of
the best I have seen—an enormous outdoor bar, banquet
seating, fireplaces, shade trees and awnings, individual dining tables—all in a lush garden setting.
The food, is every bit as fabulous as it used to be. Some of
my very favorites are the Red Chile Angel Hair with 3 huge
bacon wrapped shrimp, the Roasted Garlic Plate and the
Relleno Plate which is a choice of green pork chile, smoked
turkey, beef or cheese.
They also have incredible pizzas all with a Southwest flair
and don’t miss the Green Chile Potato. Sunday Brunch is
not to be missed with such offerings as Eggs Benedict Jalapeno, Green Chile Meatloaf and Eggs and Tenderloin Benedict and much, much more!!!
Sharing the patio with Richardson’s is Rokerij (pronounced
ro-ker-ee) the sister restaurant. The patio is actually shared
by the two restaurants which creates a real “happening” atmosphere. Some of my favorites on Rokerij’s menu include
Rokerij’s Chipotle Ribs, Crab Tostada’s, Mexico City
Ceviche or Michael’s favorite—Steak Tartare.
South Mountain Park/Preserve in Phoenix is the largest
municipal park in the country
If you haven’t been there yet, go now, especially before it
gets too warm to enjoy the patio. Great for lunch or dinner.
Casual or dressy—It works either way. Great Service Fabualous Food!!!!
If you cut down a protected species of cactus in Arizona,
you could spend more than a year in jail
I’ve now made myself so hungry that I wonder if I could get a
table this evening.
A Saguaro cactus can store up to nine tons of water
The two largest manmade lakes in the U.S. are Lake
Mead and Lake Powell – both located in Arizona
"“I’m pulling it out of the bunker. I am not going to scratch my new
clubs!, and it shouldn’t have gone in there anyway!!

Group—
—4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Sunday, May 6th - 7:30am Shotgun Start Scramble
Join us for a day of golf at McCormick Ranch Golf Club followed by food, wine, raffle prizes and awards immediately following golf—at Terroir Wine Pub.
Every year we hold this Charity Tournament to support a worthwhile cause and allow our friends to have
a great day while helping those in need. This year’s charity is Packages from Home. Their mission is
“to send comfort packages to deployed military heroes who are stationed in active duty theatres around
the world, as well to facilitate activities that elevate the morale of all veterans.”
For those who have played in this tournament before, you know how much fun it is. You also know that our view of golf is that it
is meant to be fun and doesn’t really matter how you play. The important thing is to buy raffle tickets because we have some of
the best ever raffle prizes. Trips to Mexico, bottles of fine wine, salon and spa gift certificates, more bottles of wine, restaurant
gift certificates, boutique gift certificates, more bottles of wine, foursomes at some of the Valley’s best courses, and more wine!!!
BONUS YEAR!!! You all know my favorite holiday is Cinco de Mayo. Since this year’s tournament is the day after, we are going
to have an absolutely outrageous selection of some of our favorite and most treasured Mexican food recipes. This may not be
the best day to eat a hearty breakfast and have two hot dogs at the turn. Save your appetite for the party!!!
If you wish to participate in the tournament as a player or party-only participant or if you would like to donate some items for
Packages from Home please contact Peggy or me. THANKS!!!
