A block of rooms have been reserved for the Krewe of Gambrinus for both
Coronation Ball weekend and Parade weekend. So call now and book your
rooms. Don’t wait to the last minute, you may not be able to get a room at the
KOG rate ($159) or get a room at all. Both events (Ball and Brew-Ha-Ha) are
at Moody Gardens. There is not a two night minimum. Moody Gardens - 409741-8484.

Coronation Ball
Summer is over and things will be getting back to a normal routine. It is
time to start thinking about the Mardi Gras season. The coronation Ball
committee has been working on plans for the premier party of the year.
The Coronation Ball will be held on February 11th at the beautiful
Moody Gardens Hotel Frances Ann Moody Ballroom. The hotel has reserved a block of rooms for us at a discount rate of $159 per night. Ph #
409-741-8484. Be sure and ask for the KOG discount when making your
reservations.
The sounds of the fabulous
"Radio Live" one of the hottest
sought after bands in Houston
will keep the party going all
night, so get your dancing shoes
ready.

WELCOME NEW MEMBERS who have joined since our last newsletter, Patricia Dugas, Bill and
Erika Lopez, Steve Owens, Korey Sitton, Taylor DeMartino, Nancy Evans, Mariolein Nooren, Josh
Wells, James and Lea Rhame, Christopher Gluski, Alanda Thompson, Carla Sharples, Sally Paulson, Bing Paulson, Janet Hoffman, Adelia Oakes, and Mark and Denise Rizzo. Members from the
past rejoining the Krewe are Dave and Janine Morrell. We are all so glad you have decided to join
us. We hope you have the time of your life and the best Krewe experience possible. In an effort to
take care of our new members, we ordered a limited number of extra Special Bead bags, so let me
know if you wish to purchase an extra bag of beads for Parade Day. They are $130.00 per bag and
have some really neat throws in them and believe me, you do not want to run out of throws before
the parade is over.
Also, put Saturday October 29, 2016 on your calendar and plan to attend a new member orientation
at 5 pm just before the Bead Store Party. You will meet the Board of Directors, The Royal Court,
and the Float Captains. We will discuss the upcoming year and try to answer all your questions and
concerns and share the Krewe history as well. The orientation is intended to help all new members
and members who joined after last year's orientation to be comfortable and enjoy the Krewe experience. You will all receive a personal invitation in early October.
FLOAT CAPTAINS - Thanks you all for all that you do. Please stay in close touch with all your riders. An informed rider is a happy rider. Also need
your attendance at the New Member Orientation if at
all possible. PUT IT ON YOUR CALENDAR!!!

Ya Ya 2016
Thank you Joe and Mary Katherine Tambrella for another successful Ya Ya trip. Everything turned
out great in spite of the rain, ambulance ride and dog fight. More great stories to share with members who missed it. And thank you Janis Lowe for all the games and trivia provided on the bus. The
entertainment makes the bus ride enjoyable.
We also want to thank Bryan and Linda Bills for hosting another wonderful party, It was a magical
evening full of music, food and libations. You have out done yourselves again.
