Happy Easter to you! Every year we celebrate Easter The Resurrection of the Lord - as the most important day in
our lives as Christians and Catholic as such. Today is the
greatest day which we can refer to as a Solemnity. There
would be no Christianity if there were no Easter. This day is
the heart and soul of Christian living, and it is where our faith
finds meaning because when Jesus died, it was never heard
of that someone rose from the dead.
So Jesus did rise from the dead thus fulfilling what He
said. That was big news! This day brings joy and new life to
us believers.
The Gospel of today narrates the episode of the empty
tomb as a sign of Jesus’ resurrection to life. After Mary Magdalene experiences the risen Christ, she runs back to the Disciples, proclaiming, “I have seen the Lord!” She encouraged
them to set out because what she was telling them was the
truth.
To all of us the question is, “do we believe that Jesus is
truly risen?” Can we be able to see wonders in our lives like
Peter, John and Paul saw? When we experience the new life,
it is our duty to share it with others like Mary did.
The celebration of Easter reminds us that we have the
duty to preach this Good News to others through our words
and actions. May the Holy Spirit give us the courage and
strength. Happy Easter!
Gluten-free Hosts are available for those at weekend Liturgy
who have a gluten allergy. Before Mass, please notify one of our
Key Ministers at the lectern in the Commons, and they will ensure
our Presider is aware and place the host in a separate container
prior to Mass.

Religious Formation Office will be closed the week of
March 27 and will reopen April 4.
A Biblical Walk Through the Mass: Based on the revised
translation of the Mass, this 5-part program by Dr. Edward Sri
takes participants on an exciting tour of the Liturgy as it explores
the Biblical roots of the words and gestures we experience at
Mass and explains their profound significance. See, perhaps for
the first time, why we say what we say and do what we do every
week at Mass. The words and gestures will be seen in a new
light, giving new life to the Liturgical experience.
We will have 2 studies available: Tuesdays, 7:30 p.m.,
starting April 5; or Thursday, 7:00 p.m., starting April 21. Space is
limited in each study.
Study materials are $22, and
preregistration is required to participate. Register online through
our website or in the Religious Formation Office.
Join a Small Group for 6 weeks to discuss My Badass Book
of Saints: Courageous Women Who Showed Me How to Live by
Maria Morera Johnson! Explore the qualities of 24 holy women
who lived lives of virtue in unexpected and often difficult
circumstances. Learn about their bravery, integrity, selflessness,
perseverance, and hope and how this can help us have courage
to reach for a closer connection to God.
We will have 2 groups, starting the week of April 10:
Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. or Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Each group is
limited to 8 people. Book is $10, and preregistration is required to
participate. Register online through our website or in the
Religious Formation Office.
The Men of St. Joseph: What a different world it would be
if more men dedicated themselves to holiness and embraced their
role as their family’s spiritual leader. What if your parish and
community was full of men like this? When a man chooses to
“put the family in the hands of the Father,” he is not only seeking
holiness for himself ad his family, but also his larger family, his
friends, parish and community. Who better to look to than Jesus
Christ, our Lord? And, who better to journey with than the other
men of our parish?
Men of St. Joseph offers a weekly opportunity for men to
gather for group prayer; to seek to know what Christ asks of us by
reading and discussing the upcoming Sunday Gospel reading;
and at one meeting per month, to discuss topics of the Catholic
faith that are of interest to the group.
All men are invited to join us Tuesday mornings at 6:00 a.m.
in the Great Hall! For more information or to sign up, contact Rob
Clark at [email protected].
Small Group for Rediscover Catholicism will meet on
Friday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the back classroom beginning
April 1. Contact Janet Waltz at [email protected] for more
information.

Notice the Year of Mercy Wall in the Commons? We
encourage everyone (adults, teens and children) to fill out a cross
for Works of Mercy you have performed this year. After
describing your charitable work on the paper cross, either place it
on the burlap or place the cross in the basket, and we will do it for
you. Work at the Food Pantry? Visit the prison? Visit the sick?
Fill out a cross! Let’s paper the Commons with our works of
mercy.
