A WALK THROUGH THE BMP’S HISTORY AND A LOOK AT THE FUTURE
A sentence such as “An image is worth a thousand words” is used very often in our daily
life as a reflection of reality. Today, with this issue that you are holding in your hands, we
want to present sixteen years of the BMP’s history that speak for themselves. A Real Estate
Show that has become the reference point both nationally and internationally, and that
has always counted with the presence of the most relevant personalities of the real estate
industry and the financial sector of around the world. It is also a walk through the politics
of the last years. During this period, we have been an efficient meeting point where a lot

of good business has been done and good contacts have been made in a professional, nice

and friendly atmosphere. I have said also something, half jokingly half seriously, very
often, that is: “who is not present at BMP, doesn’t exist”. This sentence, if we take a look at
the pictures of these last sixteen years, fits to reality. Through Meeting Point have passed
all those who were, are and will be. And I am sure that you agree, because during all
these years we have tried, and I think that successfully, to create a framework in order to
facilitate all the objectives related to a trade show and, what is more important, we will
keep doing it despite this stormy and cloudy times we are going through. But is in these
difficult times that we have to make the grade and be at the service of the national and
international real estate industry.
I also have said repeatedly that I believe in this sector and I think that the professionalism
and strength of those who make it up will be used to go forward, because it’s worth it.
Millions of jobs around the world depend on this effort and I am convinced that we will
overcome the crisis with more strength.
As you will see, in the past 4 editions we have had a very important presence of the
leading authorities and real estate professionals from the Russian Federation and its
Regions, just as we did before with other countries of interest, and as we will keep on
doing in the future.
On our side, I can assure you that more than ever we’ll do our best to make of the next
Meeting Point, again, a profitable, efficient and international Show. And this is why I have
written on the title “a look at the future”, a future that I foresee full of hope.
