The KISS Project
Think you know everything about safe
sex and STIs? Put your knowledge to
the test! Keep an eye out for the KISS
volunteers and challenge them to a variety of games. They are located
close to the jetty and will have signs out the front of their hut. They will
also be roaming around the island and they will happily provide you with
information on safer sex, drug use, alcohol consumption, STIs, blood
borne viruses and sexual health services available for young people. The
KISS volunteers are always up for a good time and love playing games
with activities and prizes to give out!

RESPECT YOURSELF, OTHERS & THE ISLAND
Look After Your Mates!
Know where your friends are and tell
someone if you are going to leave
the group. It is important to react
quickly to incidents and report any
illness, mysterious missing persons
or strange behaviour to any nametagged volunteer, Police or event staff.
Check out the phone numbers in
this programme so if you can’t find a
volunteer, you can give the appropriate
authority a buzz.
Respect the Island
Rottnest is everyone’s Island so
make sure you respect its fragile
environment. This is basically common
sense but please remember these key
points or you will be charged, fined or
evicted… or all three!

luggage with the official label provided
by the ferry operator at the time of
booking your ferry crossing. Any
unlabelled bags won’t be delivered to
your unit and you will be responsible
for hauling it from the jetty. Same for
going home – make sure tags are
intact and bags are out at luggage

If you don’t have one you’ve gotta go.
Anyone who doesn’t have pre-booked
accommodation will be sent packing
to the mainland. No sleeping on the
beach (a sand bed does NOT count) or
in public places (a bench is NOT
a bed).
Cardboard boxes, flimsy plastic
containers and other substandard
