Highlights
01 The teams await results
from community testing of the
Scripture drafts they’ve sent to
local villages. People’s feedback
is invaluable to gauge clarity.
02 Kaunda says, “People treat
me with more respect when
they learn I translate Scripture.
While discussing a Bible topic,
they ask my opinion.”
‘I discover fresh things’
Jonah 2:2 in Aukan and
Saramaccan
Martha writes, “As a pastor’s wife, I lead
Bible studies. But translating the Scriptures
is something totally different. When I’m
at the translation desk, I look at the text
of God’s Word from a different angle and
discover fresh things. I later discuss these
new insights with my husband.”
Ruth 2:12 in Aukan and
Saramaccan
03 New Aukan team member
Farida starts work this month, in
answer to prayer. She’ll receive
training in Bible translation
principles and Paratext software.
“Mi bali kai Masaa Gadu a ini a gaan

Pray For Your People
01
02
Father, we pray for the health of
the team members, especially for
Margriet whom different doctors
examined but couldn’t find the cause
of her severe headaches.
God, we thank You for sending Farida
to serve on the Aukan team. Please
help her pass the training smoothly.
We pray for guidance for all of the
translators.
03
Lord, we ask for another translator to
join the Aukan team since Edgar can’t
continue because of sickness. Please
send the right person for the job.
Minister to Edgar in his illness.
