Highlights
01 Training in translation
principles gives the team
insights into how to translate
difficult concepts.
02 A second round of training
in the use of Paratext enhances
accuracy in translating.
Working with the Goal in Mind
Team members eagerly attended training in the use of Paratext
and translation principles in order to accomplish the translation
of God’s Word with quality and consistency. They anticipate
with joy a time when God’s Word in heart languages Aucan and
Saramaccan will be made available to their people.
As they continue to ramp up the project and grow more proficient
and comfortable with how to complete their work, they want
to embody the words found in Acts 20:24 (NLT), “But my life is
worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned
me by the Lord Jesus — the work of telling others the Good News
about the wonderful grace of God.”
People from all walks of life have heard God’s call on their lives
and become part of the translation team. Jajo, married for over
two decades with six children, is a former stock manager with
a love of guiding and supporting children and young people.
Kaunda is single and is keen on counseling and Bible study that
naturally lends itself to fulfillment in translating God’s Word
into heart language Saramaccan. Margriet finds that her former
work as an intermediary between Saramaccan leaders and local
governments fits right in with the goals of the team to encourage
the community, churches and local leaders to get involved with
the project. A translator for the Aucan language, Edgar, formerly
worked for the Ministry of Regional Development and will lend his
expertise in program development.
03 God is faithful to provide a
replacement translator for the
Aucan Team.
These members of the translation team, and all the others, ask
that you would continue to join them in commitment to this work
of God. They request your prayers for the project to continue to
move forward with excellence and in a manner that would honor
God and be a blessing to all it reaches.

Pray For Your People
01
Lord Jesus, we pray that quality and
accuracy will always be the goal of
all the people involved in this, Your
translation project. We also pray for
the health of the entire team.
02
Father, we ask that You would
bless the efforts of the team as
they continue to reach out to their
communities joining with them for
the success of the project.
03
We thank You that as one of the
translators had to leave the project,
You provided a replacement. Now
Lord, we ask that You would bless
this project with another translator
in the Aucan language.
