ESSENTIAL INFORMATION...
Parklife 2016 is now just around the corner!
please take a minute to read everything you need to know about this year's event.
please make sure you have a firm travel plan (both to & from the festival)

PLANNING YOUR JOURNEY TO HEATON PARK
the Parklife travel Pass is the quickest
and most convenient way to travel to and from Heaton Park,
for just £2.50 each way it's a festival essential.
TRAVELLING TO & FROM THE FESTIVAL:
Please bare in mind there will be tens
of thousands of people travelling to and from
the Heaton Park so make sure you have a firm travel plan
in place for the journey to and from the festival
We strongly advise arriving at the festival
between the hours of 10am and midday.
BY LOCAL BUS SERVICE
BY TRAIN
Heaton Park is served by these existing bus routeS
from around Greater Manchester 135, 59, 64, 484, 495, 164, 165.
long distance and local train services run to Manchester
Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria stations in the city centre,
where passengers can connect to other public transport
services to Heaton Park.

BY CAR
BY TAXI
the only official event car park is located at the Heaton Park
Lakeside car park, off Sheepfoot Lane, M25 0BW.
Monitored by event stewards, this official car park costs:
taxis are also a very popular way of leaving the park;
there will be taxi ranks in Blackley New Road
and outside the Woodthorpe pub on Bury Old Road
as well as an official private hire pick up point
near the car park on Sheepfoot Lane.
£7.50 in advance
£10 per car if paid on arrival.
Note it is a cash only car park, card payments are not accepted.
there is absolutely no on street parking around the event site,
a residents permit scheme is in place and there will be
a number of roads closed in place around Heaton Park.
Customers booking their own private hire vehicles
need to to direct them to the pick up point
at Heaton Park Sainsbury’s.
traffic wardens will be patrolling the area around Heaton Park
and your car will be towed and impounded by the wardens.
BY UBER
If you are driving to Parklife,
please use the official event car park.
this year, Uber have provided a unique festival code
that allows £15 off your first ride. Simply download the app
at Uber.com/app and register, using the discount code PARKLIFE15
ARRIVAL ON SITE
TICKET TOUTS
there are 3 ticket holder entrance gates at Parklife 2016:
North, East and West.
If you buy a ticket from a tout outside the site
you will be paying well above face value
and there is a high probability that the tickets are fake
and will not allow you entry to the festival.

North Gate is situated within Heaton Park, access the park
through any gate and follow the directional signage to North Gate.
East Gate is located on Sheepfoot Lane
West Gate is located on Bury Old Road
there is a dedicated VIP gate also located on Bury Old Road.
Anyone seen purchasing tickets from touts outside
the site will be denied entry to the festival.
ACCESS
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
If you feel you could benefit from the facilities we provide;
such as disabled car park, disabled viewing platforms
and accessible toilets then please email

Do obey the laws of the land. Drugs are no more legal
at a festival than in the outside world. Drug dealing and consumption
will not be tolerated. Parklife has zero tolerance for legal highs.
No Alcohol or liquids of any kind
No drugs including ‘legal highs’
No knives or weapons
No Glass
No Umbrellas
No aerosols, sprays or pressurised containers permitted
Admission is subject to search
Must be 17+ & all 17 year olds must be accompanied
by a responsible guardian. (Maximum of 4 under
18's per responsible guardian).
No food
No perfumes or aftershaves
No dogs
No flares or fireworks
No bikes
No re-entry
Management reserve the right to refuse admission

No Selfie-Sticks
there are plenty of bars located within the festival,
as well as a huge variety of food concessions to suit every taste.
Please note our food outlets only accept cash,
selected bars across site that will accept card.
there will be a limited number of cash machines
available within the festival site.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
All our security and stewards at Parklife are here to ensure you have a safe
and enjoyable time at Parklife. We ask you respond to security
announcements and follow directions from security and stewards
Should you require assistance please speak to the nearest,
easily identifiable member of the security team
CCtV is in operation outside, inside as well as at all Parklife entrance gates.
DRUGS
Parklife has zero tolerance for drugs and legal highs.
Should you be found with either a controlled substance or herbal
or legal high at the point of entry you will be denied entry and handed
over to the Police. Should you be found within the festival site with either
a controlled substance or herbal or legal high you will be
ejected and handed over to the Police.

TENT CAPACITIES
WELFARE INFORMATION
Parklife has a First Aid Point and Welfare facilities.
there will also be Medics and First Aiders on patrol around the event.
If at any time you feel at all unwell during the festival,
please find a member of staff or security who will be able to assist.
the Loop, and the welfare team offer advice about alcohol, drugs,
sexual health, mental health, crime and violence, as well as young
person safeguarding and sexual health resources.
BARS
We have a number of bars onsite selling alcoholic and
non-alcoholic drinks. Parklife operates the ‘Challenge 21’ policy.
If you look under 21 please do not be offended if we ask you for proof of
age when you buy alcohol. Please bring proof of ID to show you are over 18.
All of the tented stages at Parklife have a maximum capacity that,
by law, we cannot exceed. If you want to see a particular artist,
please arrive early to the stage to avoid disappointment. Once the tents
have reached capacity we will be enforcing a one in one out policy.
If you cannot get access, we recommend you go and enjoy
an artist at an alternative stage.
MERCHANDISE
Official Parklife merchandise will be available within the festival.
We would advise that merchandise is only purchased from these official
outlets and the festival is not liable for any items purchased through
unofficial channels. Unlicensed street trading is prohibited in the streets
surrounding the festival and local authority
enforcement officers will be present.
We accept the following forms of Identification:

We are pleased to have this event in Heaton Park. We can only do so
with the support of the local community, please respect our neighbours
by arriving and leaving peacefully, not trespassing
on their private property and not dropping litter.
Please enjoy alcohol responsibly.
LOST PROPERTY
Do not buy alcohol for persons under the age of 18,
if you do you risk being ejected from the festival.
If you lose something at Parklife there is a Lost Property desk
in the centre of the site where you can go to log
what you have lost and try to reclaim anything that has been found.
SET TIMES
Set times will be listed in the festival programmes,

PLEASE NOtE - items will only be kept 2 weeks after the festival,
when it will then be given to local charities.
Please be alert and keep your belongings safe at all times.
LEAVING THE FESTIVAL
Parklife is committed to being a good neighbour to the local residents
of Prestwich and the wider city of Manchester. Please respect
their homes and property by LEAVING PROMPtLY, carefully disposing
of your rubbish, using the toilets provided inside the festival and
being mindful of minimising noise and disruption as you leave.
Make sure you plan your journey home before the day of the festival.
If you need directions to the Parklife bus station, Metrolink stations,
the Big Green Coach point, car parks, taxis or walking directions
to the city centre on the day please ask one of our stewards.
AFTERLIFE
the official Parklife Afterparties will be taking place across Manchester
for the duration of the weekend. tickets are available to purchase here.
