films a year to over 10,000 guests. programming the most current “best of” docs from film festivals around the world, we keep our venues as fresh as our film selections; from historic theaters to island nature preserves, we utilize a variety of the wonderful natural and legendary spaces that rhode island has to offer. each of our film presentations are one-of-a-kind events that incorporate filmmakers, film subjects or industry experts; recent guests include ethel kennedy and tim wakefield. our team is passionate, innovative and dedicated to creating experiences that take the audience natural spaces first beach green screen presented by aquidneck land trust • when: year-round (5-7 films) • this program: films that aim to open a dialogue and challenge what we think we know about our planet and its health – we bring in environmental experts and/or filmmakers to make the experience more meaningful rose island youth • when: bi-monthly (6 events) • our venues: megley black box theater at salve regina university, sweet berry farm, jane pickens theater, casino theatre, jamestown arts center, ballard park • this program: kids and families of rhode island and beyond can expect to experience shorts, features, documentaries and world cinema paired with a fun, interactive experience sweet berry farm focus • when: year-round (6-9 films) • our venues: casino theater, jane pickens theater, rosecliff, newport art museum • this program: throughout the year we curate the best documentaries to inspire, educate and entertain our community. we bring in filmmakers and/or film
