What Do
Catholics Believe?
Ouija Boards, Tarot
Cards, Palm Reading
DO NOT PLAY WITH OUIJA BOARDS or let them into
your home! If you open up a spiritual door such as a
séance, conjuring up the dead, etc. please realize that
demons are spiritual in nature too and they are
liars. If you play in the Devil's sandbox, he will take
no ce of you.
If you ever have dabbled in this type of stuff, speak to
a priest in the Sacrament of Confession.
Par cipa ng in these types of of “channeling” or
“divina on” are dangerous prac ces because they are
an a empt to seek spiritual power from somewhere
other than God. If this is the case, then demons or evil
spirits are most likely the ones supplying it. We open
ourselves up to demonic influence if we do so – to the
point of having possession being possible down the
line.
Some might think this is an overreac on and that it is
just fun. Some say it is just a spooky me for kids to
pretend they can talk to the dead. But, demons can
work through this kind of a tude to quietly induce
someone to their way of thinking and ac ng.

lectors
Each Monday, following the 5:30pm Mass, we meet to pray and
prepare for the upcoming Sunday Mass. We not only pracƟce and
help one another with our proclamaƟon of the Word, but we also
share, pray and explore the depth of these readings, and our own
hearts.
When we enter more deeply into the Word, we proclaim with more
passion and strength than when we simply review and pracƟce
"reading". Lectors are highly encouraged to aƩend, especially if
scheduled for the upcoming Sunday, but EucharisƟc Ministers of Holy
Communion, Ushers and Greeters....All members of our parish family
are welcome! Actual pracƟce will be at the end of the session, so
come join us as we begin our week with the Word.
