Helpful Tips
• Follow the pattern instructions to completely construct the sweatshirt jacket before adding embroidery.
• Use Tear-Away Iron On Cotton Stable Stabilizer in conjunction with a self-adhesive stabilizer. First, stabilize wrong side of sweatshirt jacket areas to be embroidered with Tear-Away Iron On Cotton Stable. Next, use a water-activated self-adhesive stabilizer or
self-adhesive stabilizer rather than hooping the sweatshirt jacket. Simply hoop the stabilizer and adhere the sweatshirt jacket piece
to the sticky area of the stabilizer. Economize by using stabilizer on a roll. Instead of cutting the stabilizer to the size of the hoop,
keep the stabilizer on the roll when you hoop. After embroidering the first section, carefully tear away the fabric from the stabilizer. Give the stabilizer a quick press to smooth out the wrinkles from the first hooping, then rehoop the next section of stabilizer
and continue embroidering.
• All design components are pictured on the following pages. Each grouping indicates the order in which the various designs making up that grouping should be stitched. In each instance, start with background designs and work toward foreground designs.
Some designs are embroidered over portions of other designs.
• Remove excess stabilizer according to stabilizer instructions after embroidering each section.
• Optional: Embellish embroidery with Hot-fix Swarovski® Crystals.
Design Layout and Modifications
The guides on the following pages indicate which designs were used, where those designs were placed on the sweatshirt jacket, and
how the designs were modified (resized, rotated, mirror imaged, and thread colors modified from those indicated with the designs), as
well as the design stitching order. If thread colors are not listed, use the colors specified with the design.
