ABOUT BLACKDAHLIA
BLACKDAHLIA were born in Foggia in 2008,
2008 thanks to the inspiration of the frontwoman Samuela Fuiani
and the guitar player Ruggero Doronzo.
Doronzo The singer, Samuela, is also the author of all the lyrics and the
musical compositions.
The moniker Blackdahlia is the perfect summary of the band’s concept: an ideal match point between the
flower’s fragility and its strenght, when it holds out against nature’s strokes.
This double character is held in their sound, which reveals various musical influences: the band takes
inspiration from classical music,
music gothic and nu metal,
metal and from bands like Korn,
Korn Evanescence and Within
Temptations.
Temptations
Blackdahlia performed in different live shows and won several national contests. They have a various
audience,
audience thanks to their strong scenic impact and their taste in melody mixed with a more aggressive
sound. Their song “When A Tear Falls” was included in an american metal compilation and was aired on
25 college radio station in the U.S.
In the fall of 2013 Blackdahlia drew the attention of the record label Areasonica Records and signed with it.
On March 8, 2014 the band released its debut album: Fragments,
Fragments formed of eight tracks with a strong
gothic mood,
mood and presented it at the Assago Live Forum in Milan, a milestone in an artist’s career.

The album’s title is evocative:
fragments’
evocative the songs are ‘fragm
fragments’ of life, experience’s splinters, single tiles which
arrange in the prolix life’s mosaic, made of several “hic et nunc”, that make sense in hind sight. The album
is a kaleidoscope of emotions,
emotions ranging from the darkest sadness to a glimmer of shining hope. Each
chapter of the album is a fragment of life, a symphonic and decadent hymn where the classical influences
of the band are always and strongly present.
