each of Patchway’s five primary schools to produce
artefacts and costumes for the parade which starts the
day’s activities. Each school has chosen a topic to depict a
different aspect of this year’s festival theme:
“Everyone’s Welcome ”
Callicroft Primary: Children/people from around the
world. (Mixed ages)
Coniston Primary: A warm welcome with Tea and
Cakes (Year 2 )

J.C.Calloway & his
Prohibition Jazz
Band
The band has recently
celebrated it’s first birthday on Friday 10th July . We became one of Bristol’s most
sought after jazz acts. We play authentic sounds of the 1920’s and 30’s including our
own original music .Band members are Annalise Lam (violin), Rich Colquhoun
(trumpet) Henry Edmond (string bass )Tom Parry (clarinet), J. C. Calloway-(Piano, vocals, conduction). We also have a guest gypsy jazz guitarist Raffa.
“The Dynamics”
Dynamics is a pop group made up of Mikayla, Ellie, Amy and Jas,
who met at a Union
J signing and kept in touch. Mikayla was already attending Patchway Youth Centre music project nights and she invited the others
to come along and Dynamics was born. They have been working
with Youth Worker, Andrew ‘Bean’ Baker and say that “working
with Bean has been amazing. He has helped our confidence with
our singing and supported us with producing tracks”.
Telson Band
Telson is a 4 piece band. Lead guitarist and vocals is Steve Lacey. On
drums is his son Kieren Bustin with whom he’s been jamming since
Kieran was four. Bass guitar is Ben ( jamming )he likes to be called,
and rhythm guitar is Brendan, local from Patchway. They play Jimi Hendrix style music and some Blues as well. If you go on to You Tube and
put in Telson Band it will pull them up, but I'm afraid that was a couple
of years ago.
Georgia Hart
Georgia is a 17 year old student who works part time at Pizza
Hut in the Mall . She has just finished her first year of ALevels .
She is a multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter.
