WHALES
Calypso holds a whale watching permit allowing our guests to swim
with Dwarf Minke Whales. Humpback & Minke Whales are typically

Explore the ancient rainforests of the Daintree National Park with

Great Barrier Reef. Minimum age is 12 years.

When booking two or more Tropical Journeys tours,
a $10 discount is offered per person per tour. This
cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.
A $10 discount is applied to second tour only if tours
are not booked together.
HUMPBACK AND
MINKE WHALES
During May to September, Humpback and Minke
Whales inhabit the waters off the coast of Port
Douglas on their migratory journey from Antarctica.
These gentle giants are an incredible sight and
having the opportunity to swim with Minke Whales
is an experience not to be missed. Calypso has a
special permit allowing our passengers to swim with
Minke Whales.
PRIVATE CHARTERS
All Tropical Journeys vessels & vehicles are available
for private charter for weddings, private groups,
family excursions, corporate functions or incentive
holidays. Please contact our friendly reservations
team to discuss your requirements.
Tropical Journeys also has a luxury monohull sailing
vessel available for private charter only. S.V. ‘Escape’
is a luxuriously appointed Benteau Oceanis 58” ideal
for sailing the Coral Sea up to 12 guests.
Fully crewed and catered, enjoy a relaxing sail out
to Low Isles with your family and friends. Snorkel over
coral gardens in a calm lagoon with your personal

Calypso is located at Shop 44 The Reef
Marina, 44 Wharf St, Port Douglas.
On foot or bike - The Reef Marina Port
Douglas is only a short walk from the main
street in Port Douglas.
By car - The marina complex offers
complimentary all day parking. A great
option if you want to do any shopping
or dine before you return to your
accommodation.
Pick up - Calypso Reef Charters offers
complimentary transfers from the Port
Douglas area. Due to limited capacity
on our buses these may be unavailable
during the busy times.
Cairns & the Northern Beaches - transfers
are available. Please contact us for rates
and pickup times.
