Ten Dollar Sale Underway
Would you believe it if your favorite musicians, actors, actresses, and
authors were all on sale for ten dollars or less? That is exactly what is happening right now at Virgin Megastores around the United States.
Virgin Megastores, a division of Virgin Entertainment Group, holds the
$10 Sale every July through December, and this year is no different. The
sale is only available for in-store purchases at one of the eleven Virgin
Megastores located throughout the U.S.
“This is our biggest sale of the year,” explains Dee Mc Laughlin, VP of
Marketing, Virgin Entertainment Group, North America. “We are excited
to reward our Virgin Megastore customers by providing them with a variety of music, movies, books and other specially selected items for only ten
dollars.”
Anything from Coldplay to Footloose to Shakespeare could be on sale as a
variety of music, movies, books and fashion items are included in the $10
sale. The products cover a wide range of music and movie genres and are
changed every six weeks. Items promoted in the $10 sale are for in-store
purchases only, and customers must visit a Virgin Megastore to find the
products included in the sale. The sale does not apply to products purchased online are subject to the prices depicted on the website.
“It’s certainly worth my time to visit the Virgin Megastore,” said Mike
Adams, a customer who traveled from out of to town the Virgin Megastore
in Denver. “It’s worth the drive, because I know I won’t find a better deal.
Plus, it fun waiting to find out what will be on sale.”
Virgin Records’ Megastores are located across the United States in cities
such as Phoenix, Hollywood, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Anaheim, Denver, Orlando, and New York City.

Lenny Kravitz To Ring in the
New Year with Carson Daly
Lenny Kravitz is set to help bring in 2008
with a rocking performance on “NBC’s New
Years Eve With Carson Daly.” The rocker will
perform two songs live in Times Square.
The television special, which premiered in
2004, will air live on Monday, December 31
at 11:35 p.m. (ET). The special promises to
enhance the viewer’s experience by giving
them the feeling of being right in the middle
of the world’s most famous New Years Eve
destination, Times Square. As expected,
“NBC’s New Years Eve With Carson Daly” will
showcase hot performances by some of the
biggest names in music.
Lenny Kravitz, whose talents range from
writer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist,
has taken his 18-year musical career to new
heights. Kravitz influences include musical
stylings of 60’s and 70 soul, rock, and funk.
With seven studio albums, all of which are
either multi-platinum, platinum, or gold, and
four consecutive Grammy wins, Kravitz will no
doubt be exactly what is needed for the highly
anticipated New Years celebration.
“Times Square on New Years Eve is the biggest
party in the world,” stated Carson Daly.
“Adding a live performance by Lenny Kravitz
takes this show to another level. Putting these
two elements together will bring a great rockn-roll feel to our show.”
In 2006 more than 7.5 million viewers tuned
in to watch “NBC’s New Years Eve With
Carson Daly.” In was the highest rated NBC
New Year’s Eve special in five years.
