We are thrilled to be able to welcome you to Memorial Stadium for the 2004 season. The purpose of the fan guide is to help make game day even more enjoyable. Again, the Husker Nation Pavilion returns as an alcohol-free pregame area for all ages. I would ask that you pay special attention to the information regarding the construction zones around the stadium. Like Steve Pederson our team, there may be some short-term pain to reach the desired results. In the case of construction, that means completion of the finest college football facility in the country. We have wonderful people on our athletic staff, including an event staff, security and ushers who will be happy to assist you in any way. Thank you again for helping create the “Sea of Red” that has become world famous. I look forward to seeing you in Memorial Stadium this fall. Go Big Red! Sincerely, Steve Pederson How to Get There Directions to Memorial Stadium Memorial Stadium is located on the east side of Stadium Drive, between T Street on the south and Avery Avenue on the north. Memorial Stadium’s 262 straight sellouts are a continuing NCAA record that stretches back 42 years. The Tunnel Walk The Huskers enter Memorial Stadium through the Tunnel Walk, which takes them from their locker room, through the tunnel that leads to the field – and nearly 80,000 screaming fans. Husker Nation Pavilion The Newest Tradition Free For All Husker Fans The Husker Nation Pavilion is located on the Ed Weir Track just outside of the northeast corner of Memorial Stadium. It opens three hours prior to kickoff every home game. The Pavilion is free and fun for the whole family, offering activities such as a live band, cheerleaders, a kids zone, food vendors, Husker autographs and much more. Due to construction on the North end of the stadium, access to the Pavilion will be limited to the east side of Memorial Stadium. Kids Zone The youngest members of the Husker Nation are sure to have fun at the Husker Nation Pavilion. The Kids Zone includes inflatable games, face painters, clowns and the Husker Power 10-yard timed dash and vertical jump. The open field at the Pavilion gives kids a chance to throw the football around before watching the Huskers take the field. Live Entertainment At the Husker Nation Pavilion, Husker fans can grab food from one of our many vendors and be entertained by a live band and the Pinnacle Pregame Radio Broadcast. Jim Rose and Adrian Fiala broadcast live from the Husker Nation Pavilion before each game. Don’t miss out on the biggest tailgate party before each Husker game at the Husker Nation Pavilion. Now fans have an even greater opportunity to gain access to Nebraska football through HuskersNside, the premium site of the NU Athletic Department. HuskersNside will provide live streaming of selected non-televised football games and weekly football press conferences, as well as on-demand viewing of classic footage and in-depth feature articles. Television The NU administration actively works to schedule football game times that are as convenient as possible for fans. However, the Big 12 Conference television contracts allow our partners (ABC, FOX Sports Net, TBS) to delay their broadcast selections until two weeks before the date of the game. If a game is selected, networks may change kickoff time. As of June 25, two Nebraska home games had been selected by ABC for telecasts - Southern Mississippi (Sept. 11, 11 a.m.) and Colorado (Nov. 26, 11 a.m.). All times are Central. Memorial Stadium Gates & Sections
