MUD DAY 2016
The Harrison Chamber of Commerce and the 20 Lakes Antique Engine and Tractor Club have teamed
up to bring Harrison a new event called “Mud Day”! This event will take place on Saturday, August
13th at the 20 Lakes Club on M-61 (4 miles west of Harrison).
What is Mud Day, you ask? Mud Day is a day of fun for the whole family! We will be building a 40x40
mud pit for kids ages 5 to 14 to play in. There will also be an Arts & Crafts Fair, a Flea Market, and
Farmer’s Market. We have other activities planned, such as tug-of-war, mud pie making contest,
muddy t-shirt contest and a whole lot more. There will be a DJ, food vendors on site, and a cool shower system for the kids to clean off - it’s hooked up to the 20 Lakes’ water tower!
I am reaching out to you to inquire about helping us with a sponsorship for this event. The Chamber
will use the money for sponsorships to help purchase items such as goggles and towels, and to help
off-set the costs of bringing this new event to Harrison.
As you may know, Community Events like this one bring people to our area. It gives them a day of fun
and something new to do, but, more importantly, it brings much-needed revenue into our area. Participants in this event will most likely stay at local motels and campgrounds, shop at local stores, and
purchase gas at our gas stations. They will see what a great place Harrison is to live, work, and play
and will want to come back again and again!
In return for your sponsorship, you won’t only be helping bring revenue to the town. We will give your
business some great press before, during, and after our event. This will include: newspaper advertising
in the Clare County Cleaver, on the Chamber website and facebook page, as well as a banner at the
event thanking you for your contribution. We have attached a list of sponsorships available so you can
choose which one will work best for you.
