Make-believe (or imaginative) play helps children explore the world. It also strengthens memory, logical reasoning, literacy and creativity. When children manipulate their environment to create things, it helps develop hand-eye coordination, fosters early literacy skills and improves math and science skills. Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words.
