This year marks the seventh anniversary of five Southern Indiana Community Foundations uniting, each to honor a Life-Long
Woman Philanthropist of the Year and an honoree for the category of Emerging Woman Philanthropist. Making a difference where
they live and beyond, the 2011 honorees have multiple years of community service, and are truly shining examples of
selflessness and initiative. Harrison County Community Foundation is proud to announce the 2011 Women in Philanthropy
winners. After a long and tough deliberation we are proud to announce Cathy Racicot as our
Life-Long Woman Philanthropist of the Year and Jo Anna Barks as our
Emerging Woman Philanthropist of the Year.

Cathy is a graduate of IUS, where she majored in Speech Communications.
While Cathy is active in a number of different organizations, she has been
employed as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Harrison
REMC since 2007. She enjoys living and working in the same community
