St. Mary’s Academy is pleased to host the 4th annual Female World Sport School Challenge (FWSSC) in Winnipeg, Manitoba,
Canada. The MTS Iceplex, home facility for the St. Mary’s Academy Flames Prep team, will be the host site for the
tournament from March 10-13, 2016. We invite you to review this team package and register for the tournament.
Registration to the Female World Sport School Challenge includes:
- 4 games guaranteed, three 20 minute period stop time.
- Hockey Canada game awards.
- 1st Team Sport School selection and recognition.
- 1st, 2nd & 3rd team awards and championship banner.
- Player packages for each participant.
- Complimentary team hockey laundry service.
- Senior and junior host provided for each team.
- Pre-game & post-game snacks.
- CIS and NCAA representation throughout tournament.
- Teams may submit player profile packages to be distributed to above representatives.
- Opening & Closing Ceremonies.
- Dinner tickets to the FWSSC Banquet on Saturday, March 12 (tickets for rostered players and coaches included in registration
fee (maximum of 20 complimentary per team), additional tickets may be purchased).
The FWSSC Banquet will be held at the Victoria Inn & Conference Centre and and will include the FWSSC Keynote Address
and presentation of the 1st Team Sport School awards. Tickets are available for purchase to family and special guests of the
participating teams and program supporters.
Deadline to register for the FWSSC is Friday, December 4, 2015.
Registration Process
Two options for team registration:
Option A
- Complete FWSSC Team Registration fillable form (Page 5)
- Complete FWSSC Official Roster fillable form (Page 6)
- Submit a copy of Hockey Canada or member branch 2015-16 approved roster.
- Submit your team logo in a high res jpg or vector (.eps) format.
Email filled out forms and logo to Kathy Bumstead at [email protected]

FWSSC Banquet
On Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Victoria Inn and Convention Center, 1808 Wellington Avenue, the Banquet highlights
the spirit of the tournament with presentation of the 1st Team Sport School selections and an inspirational keynote
speech. This is a glowing evening to be attended by all teams and many from the hockey community. Each registered
team receives 20 complementary dinner tickets with their team registration. Additional dinner tickets may be purchased
as required. Tickets are also available to families and public; see Banquet tab at www.fwssc.ca.

Each team will be provided an assortment of snack items such as bagels, fruit and sport drink mix prior to each
game. This will be provided at team dressing room by a FWSSC junior host or team operations volunteer.

ACCREDITATION
All members of every team will be subject to the FWSSC accreditation process (accreditation will take place at
the Coaches meeting, held at the MTS Icplex on March 10, 2016 prior to the first game). You will be required
to wear your FWSSC accreditation passes at all times throughout the event when accessing the MTS Iceplex or
designated FWSSC events or facilities.
TEAM HOSTS
Each participating team will be assigned a Team Host for the duration of the tournament. The name and
contact information of the Host will be provided to you prior to your arrival in Winnipeg.
GAME RECORDINGS
Most games will be available via online streaming from www.fwssc.ca. All registered teams, scouts and families
will have access to these games at no charge.
SKATE SHARPENING
Skate sharpening will be available on-site at the Jets Gear Store (located on the main level, in the MTS Iceplex).
Teams must make arrangements will the Jets Gear staff for associated schedululing and costs. On-site facilities
are available for equipment repair.
LAUNDRY SERVICE
Laundry service will be available for jerseys and game socks ONLY. Laundry bins will be provided in the dressing
rooms and will be picked up after the game.
PHOTO WAIVER
The FWSSC has a local photographer to photograph the players, officials and events surrounding the Tournament. Photos taken during the event are the property of the FWSSC and may be used in the development of
promotional materials for future FWSSC events. Note teams will receive the photo waiver form for all players
and staff to complete in their pre-tournament package.
