Editor’s Note
A few years ago, the other half and I had an argument over my list
making. Previously, my need to bullet point everything was a bit of a
joke in my house and OH would comment that I was incapable of
doing anything without ensuring each action was uniformly
documented first. However, it was true that just because a list was
made, didn’t necessarily mean it was followed through and you could
have probably opened any random drawer to find a notepad crammed
with – usually unfinished – checklists.
CONTENTS
7
Simply by writing those orderly, well thought-out lists I felt a semblance
of control and organisation. Not only that, it worked to give me that
reputation too. “Oo, aren’t you organised,” cooed my friends upon
seeing my neatly written out orderly instructions to myself. Smugly,
highly self-satisfied, I would politely agree with them. However, that
list-making-mania comes with a price.
I did not fare well with occasions that were not planned out. Drop me
at the shop without a list and you would have found me, panic-stricken,
outside with no idea of what to buy or what we’ll have for tea later on.
It was only a matter of time before they would find me at the ASDA
checkout, rocking back and forth crying, with a trolley half full of nonedible items.
So I digress. The argument started over my plethora of uncompleted
checklists which he’d helpfully covered the table with to prove his point.
“I need to make lists, because I’ve got so much to do and I’ll forget it if
I don’t,” I pointed out, feebly.
“There’s not much point writing it down if it’s not going to get done,
though,” he retorted. “Why not write 3 things down and do them,
rather than 50 and do none?”
It was a good (if annoying) point. As much as I’d like to argue that I
have more responsibilities and things of utmost importance to do, of
which he couldn’t possibly understand – he was annoyingly right. My
daily to-do list can quickly transform itself into a dumping ground for
my every thought. Rather than helping me through the day, my to do
list could actually be setting me up for failure.
A quick poll of other friends who also suffer from ‘listia’ showed that
this problem isn’t that uncommon. Writing a lovely long to do list
means you can pick and choose the nice easy tasks, tick them off and
feel like you’ve done a lot. Doing a lot, though, isn’t necessarily doing
the right things.
14
Having spoken to many top achievers throughout the Network over the
years, one thing has become apparent. They all have focussed on the
handful of things that will move their businesses forward and anything
else gets placed on the back burner.
So here’s what I’ve learned about revamping that endless to do list.
Firstly, don’t get confused between quantity and quality. Doing a lot of
things on your to do list doesn’t automatically make you super
productive if those actions are low-impact and less effective.
Secondly, don’t use that list as a form of torture. Have three key actions
on it that you’ll be able to accomplish in a day. Anything else you
manage to complete on top of that is a bonus.
Thirdly, if you’re like me with a memory of the much-maligned goldfish,
keep a separate list for everything else. Take 5 minutes – no more – and
write down everything you need to get done in the next week. When it
comes to writing your daily to do list, consult your 5-minute list and ask
yourself: If you could only achieve one thing that day, what would it
be? That’s your first priority sorted.
Don’t let that list set you up for a fall. Your to do list could be your very
best friend when it comes to achieving your goals, so use it wisely.

Stepping stone to success
There’s not much not to like about spring. Days get longer, temperatures start to rise, we all start to feel
like springing into action, which is just as well, because what we do now determines the rest of the year!
Thankfully, the Autumn Destination qualification criteria, as by following it, your business will naturally
grow. You can build a solid foundation for autumn or build your business further and at the end of it all,
have an incredible reward – not just in a solid, profitable business, but also nabbing a sought-after place
to a spectacular destination!
CRITERIA
Criteria for Autumn Destination 2015 –
Period 5, 2015 to Period 10, 2015
1. Sales Plan Success
Achieve Sales Plan progression to a minimum of GOLD
Distributor for the first time and maintain the position for
a further TWO periods.
2. Sponsoring League Table
There will be four separate league tables:
• Golds & Seniors
5 Distributorships will qualify
• Executives
5 Distributorships will qualify

INITIATIONS each doing £500/€600 during
the promotion.
2. You will receive 1 point for every initiation that
achieves £500/€600 worth of sales during the
qualification period.
“Did you ever consider how ridiculous it would be to try to cram
on a farm – to forget to plant in the spring, play all summer and
then cram in the fall to bring in the harvest?” said Stephen Covey
in his greatly acclaimed book, The 7 Habits of Highly
Successful People. “The farm is a natural system. The price must
be paid and the process followed. You always reap what you sow;
there is no shortcut.”
What a great way to think about your business! Put in the work
now and, come autumn, the rewards will be there for you!
4 TEAMTALK APRIL 2015

Lisa Burke, Managing Director Business update
News from Lisa...
There are many reasons that people
love Kleeneze, but recognition has
to be up there in the top three.
As a company, we pride ourselves on
recognising Distributors for their work.
It’s something you don’t usually find in
a ‘regular job’ and we feel it’s hugely
important as an organisation to
appreciate and recognise your
achievements.
Likewise, it’s lovely when Kleeneze gets
recognised as it did earlier this month. We
were brimming with pride to come in the
Top 100 Global Direct Selling Companies of 2014, as announced by
Direct Selling News at the annual banquet in Dallas.
Lisa Burke,
Managing Director
Our new parent company, CVSL also had much to celebrate – flying
up this acknowledged list 15 points to number 84 on the list and
making them one of the fastest growing direct-to-consumer
companies in the world. It’s an incredible achievement and one that’s
hugely exciting for our business – a merging of two of the industry’s
global giants!
So now it’s onwards and upwards. Part of a brand new family, I’m
sure you can imagine that it’s been an extremely busy time for the
whole team at HQ - firstly preparing for the transfer of the business to
CVSL and ensuring that the necessary systems were in place so the
network would not be inconvenienced by the change in ownership
and at the same time ensure all the normal business as usual activities
were still taking place.
We wanted to ensure it was business as usual for you all and that you
would have as little interruption as possible. That was no small task
and I want to personally thank the brilliant staff at HQ for everything
they do every day to support this wonderful business - they have
been phenomenal through these times of exciting change.
I would also like to sincerely thank you the Network - in true Kleeneze
style you have been solid and supportive and together we have come
through these changing times and now have the most incredible
opportunity and platform to drive this business forward. I have always
seen Kleeneze as an extended family and it is wonderful that we have
now joined an even bigger family that understand, appreciate and live
by those very values.
There are many things, of course, that we want to change and
improve on and with CVSL we are committed to the distributor
opportunity being the most important and central piece in everything
that we do. Our income opportunity has to be the best, our retailing
and sponsoring platforms must be the best - and where we can
improve we will. Everything we want to do won’t happen overnight but please know we are working tirelessly and our agenda is simply to
support you all in the very best way that we can.
Since the beginning of January, the sales trend for Kleeneze has seen
an improvement of 12% - this is another fantastic achievement.
However, we know that due to the phenomenal sales that have been
achieved from K Life and the pricing and commission structure, that
an increase in sales has not always seen an individual’s increase in
profit, depending on the split of an individual’s sales between the
Main Book full commissionable range and K Life. When we launched
K Life we removed all reduced commission items from the Main Book
and K Life was an opportunity to increase, not substitute, sales. Your
income and opportunity is so important to us so I want to give you an
idea of what we are working on to make the opportunity even
stronger for the future:
To give you some specifics we are:
Looking at ways to increase commission rates on K Life
version 2 which will be launched in August – this will require a new
pricing policy and carefully selected ranges but we believe we can
achieve this.
With the knowledge that we now have from K Life along with not
being restricted by joint purchasing as we have previously been, we
are confident service levels and out of stocks will improve significantly.
Yes we are working on taking Kleeneze internationally, but there is
much to do and we must do it absolutely right - so when we launch in
a market we can confidently drive it into fast growth.
We are looking at ways to improve and refresh the Main Book. This
much-loved catalogue is the most important tool in the Kleeneze
business and we want to stay true to your customers’ favourite
products and bring back even more.
We will continue to develop on the success of online selling and keep
finding great and appealing Internet Specials.
We will develop a way that distributors can benefit from the CVSL
share programme. To own a piece of your company has to be one of
the most exciting opportunities of our era...
We will build the momentum and confidence to drive this business
forward into massive growth.
Are you ready to be part of this next growth phase? Just being here at
this moment and having the option to be part of this is simply
incredible but taking your place and claiming your part will be simply
life changing!
Kleeneze – we’re about to explode!

“I’ve been running my Kleeneze business for 10 years. I started
part time around my job as a secretary, but hated sitting in an
office, so once I hit Gold, I sacked my boss and haven’t looked
back since! I now have a 21-month-old boy and am expecting
again, so my business runs part time around my family. Perfect!”
Donna Clease
“I got laid off when the financial crisis hit. I couldn’t find work,
so tried a business venture of my own, but it didn’t take off so
well. I once did Kleeneze back when I was a much younger man,
so decided to give it another try. Nearly two years in and, having
mastered the retailing, am now getting to grips with online
selling and team building.”
Timothy Hills
“My husband and I have been
with Kleeneze less than a year. I
work full time as a secretary and
my husband works part time
and looks after the kids. We
make a good team, as he does
all the leg work and I do the
‘admin’ as he calls it. We joined
to make a little extra money and
to help us build a better life for
our family. It might only have been a short amount of time, but
we absolutely love it and I can’t wait until the time comes when I
can ‘sack my boss’.”
Lyndsey Black
“We’ve been with Kleeneze for 12 years. I was an
Environmental Health Officer and left work to look after my two
children. We soon needed an extra £50 per week so filled in the
slip we saw at the front of a Kleeneze catalogue. I thought if I
was a customer, other mums would be interested too! We’ve
done it part time, full time, team building and retail focussed to
suit our changing circumstances over the years.”
Cath Lord
“I’ve been with Kleeneze for four-and-a-half years. I’m a stayat-home mum and joined for £50 a week to help with bills.
I now earn over £1k part-time around my family just
doing retail.”

Edward Montgomery
“I was working part-time in a department store and complaining
about needing more money when my dad (Neil Dooley)
rejoined Kleeneze after being medically discharged from the
army. I hit 10% in two weeks and my first cheque was £296. I
quit my part time job in November, as it was interfering with my
business, and I’m now doing this full time.”
Sammi Dooley
“I joined Kleeneze 15 years ago to help keep pay to keep a car
on the road and have a holiday! I was working full time in the
printing business, but had a long history in retail. After 6 months,
I saw the potential of a customer base and sponsoring and knew
that I could match my full time income. I love the freedom
having my own business gives me, with no boss and only myself
to answer to. I have taken time out in the business for personal
reasons and love the fact that you can pick it back up and run
with it. It’s so flexible and I love the positive, motivated people I
have been lucky to meet through the years in Kleeneze.”
Mary Hession
“I have been with Kleeneze for just over two years. I’m at the
10% level, working around a full time teaching degree, parttime job and I’m also a part-time tutor.”

8 TEAMTALK APRIL 2015
“We started our business, as our interest-only mortgage finished
and the repayment mortgage was £800 more per month. I’m a
former practicing psychotherapist and analytical therapist, whilst
Norman was an underground surveyor.”
Joanne Grundy
“I joined in August 2013. I’m a single parent and hadn’t worked
for 20 years while I brought up my four children. I found a job
and got sacked for taking 2 days off when a child was ill. I found
Kleeneze while job searching and will never look back. It got me
off benefits and I have now helped another mum do the same. I
get a regular income, which is more than I ever expected, and it
just gets better with time.”
Jo Foss
“I joined from warm market 5 years ago. I was a medical rep
and previous to that did a PhD I neuroscience. I joined after I
was ‘tricked’ into going to a January Showcase for a weekend
away. I realised it was a meeting and was cynical and sceptical.
But then I saw Gavin Scott on stage and thought if he can do
this why can’t I? The rest is history. I am a full time single mum
with 2 boys – one with a disability and wheelchair dependent –
so am building a future of security for them and my retirement
to travel the world.”
Dr Wendy Meddelton
“I started my Kleeneze
adventure just over a year ago.
At the time, I was a single
parent family, living on benefits,
with 2 small children. Previously,
I had worked in the licensed
trade and sadly I lost my home
and my business in 2007. I
spent the next 5 years putting
my life back together and
bringing up my kids. After
several weeks of job searching, I
realised that I was virtually
unemployable due to lack of skills, childcare provision and the
fact that I couldn’t provide a reference due to being selfemployed the majority of my working life. I came across
Kleeneze by chance and was very sceptical whether it would
work. However, as it was the only offer I’d had in two months, I
decided to give it a go. Boy, am I glad I did. I earned £459 in my
first four weeks, moved in with my partner in April, got married
and went Gold in June, qualified for Venice and I can still run our
busy household and look after our 5 kids. Kleeneze has
completely changed my outlook on life and given me hope and
a real sense of excitement for the future.”

APRIL 2015 TEAMTALK 9
Our story: Lianne and Andy Martin
There’s no stopping us now
Some may be surprised to hear that two of our first-time Destination qualifiers, Lianne and Andy
Martin, have been in the business for seven years. While dramatic personal circumstances meant
they had to put their business to one side, the couple always knew they could fall back on it when
they were ready. Last year that time came and now they’re set to jet off to Jamaica on a five-star
Kleeneze incentive!
Team Talk caught up with Lianne to find out more about their journey, how they run a business
around four children under 8 and how qualifying for Jamaica has changed their lives forever.
“I was a shop manager at a bakery in my former life,”
explains Lianne. “I had Logan, 23 months old, and I was on
maternity leave with my 8-week-old, Brooke when we started
Kleeneze. Andy had been a house husband then, but once
Brooke was born he decided to go back to work as a road
maintenance worker. I still wanted something for me to be
able to do, though, and the extra money would have helped,
so when I saw an advert in the newspaper, I answered it
straight away. I’d never heard of Kleeneze before that or even
had a catalogue.”
They got stuck into retailing straight away, doing £186 in their
first week. The next seven months continued in the same vein
until Lianne received a letter informing her that her maternity
leave had come to an end and it was time to return to work.
“We were just plodding along with the retail really and had
even sponsored a few people into the team. One was
accidentally when she saw my catalogues hidden away at
Logan’s second birthday party! However, then I got the
dreaded letter saying I was due back at work and – being the
silly person I am – I went back.
The following month, I got my payslip and an invoice from
nursery on the same day. The nursery fees were £1,400 and
my take-home-pay was £1,436. It made me realise that I
wasn’t prepared to go on like that. I had to make my Kleeneze
business work.”
Lianne and Andy continued to build their business up parttime until she was ready, but then she fell pregnant with her
third child.
“Unfortunately, I had my daughter, Charlie, early at 28 weeks
and she was stillborn,” says Lianne, bravely. “The day after I
had her, I had to phone into work to tell them what had
happened. I will never forget what they said. I was told not to
10 TEAMTALK APRIL 2015
worry, to take the rest of the week off and to remember to
bring my doctor’s note in! That was on the Wednesday. I
wrote my resignation letter then.”
The pair slowly recovered from the tragedy and had decided
to start seriously building their business when Lianne got
pregnant again with Lexi and then again with their last
daughter, Sareya. Their emotional journey wasn’t quite over
yet, though.
“Just as we were trying to get ourselves back on track, I fell
pregnant again, but at 6 months I haemorrhaged and was
rushed into hospital, I was put on a life support machine in
intensive care and ended up having 7 blood transfusions. Our
daughter Sareya was delivered very early and also ended up
on life support, but in a different hospital. They eventually
gave me a hysterectomy to save me. Sareya and I came
off life support within an hour of each other, which I just think
is so powerful.”
It took a while for Lianne to recover from her ordeal both
physically and mentally, but 18 months down the road she felt
strong enough to start getting serious again about their
Kleeneze business and set to work sponsoring people into
the team.
“We hadn’t contemplated Jamaica,” she remembers. “In fact,
we hadn’t even checked the league tables, so when I saw our
names on the list that Michael [Khatkar] posted on Facebook, I
was so excited. I started running around the house, trying to
phone everyone. The dog was barking at me, thinking I’d
gone mad! The next six weeks are just a blur of sponsoring
and phonecalls.”
It paid off and the couple qualified for the Destination and to
make the experience extra special, they’ll be renewing their
vows in this incredible location.
“We’ve never had just a holiday for the two of us. We’ve
been married ten years last August and I really wanted to give
Andy something back for all the support he’s given me. He
really has been my rock. We’ve had such a rubbish time and
renewing our vows there is a way of drawing a line in the
sand for us and saying the next 10 years are going to be
completely different.”
Andy and Lianne now have a goal to go for Gold and qualify
for the Autumn Destination as well as India. With four children
all under 8, they have their hands full, but now have
something that will help them move forward – belief.
“Once you qualify for one you realise that anyone can do it,”
says Lianne. “Before, you see people going on them, but don’t
believe it’s something you can do. Now we know we can and
there’s nothing stopping us.
I wish that they taught you in school about Network
Marketing. We haven’t even gone that far up the Sales Plan
and it’s changed all our lives massively. I remember at one
parents’ evening, a teacher pulled me aside to tell me she was
worried about Logan’s imagination as he was telling her about
all the places he was going. I told her it was true and she
didn’t understand. She thought because I take them to school
and pick them up that I didn’t work.”

“My focus and attitude has changed so much since we
qualified. It feels amazing. I’m so much more confident and it
feels amazing. The money we make now with our Kleeneze
business can go on spending time with the kids and
treating them rather than nursery fees. That gives me the
greatest pleasure.
“It all goes to show that it doesn’t matter how long you’ve

Personally, the pair has other goals including buying their own

though, and for that, Lianne is hugely thankful.

Retailing online
An online storm
From new starters to seasoned Distributors, thousands are trying out the online retailing side of the
Kleeneze business and seeing some great results. Here is some of their feedback.
“Since selling online,
my income has gone
from £500 - £600
every four weeks
(which I was happy
with, working part-time
around my one-yearold) to £1,000 - £1,600
every four weeks! I still
can’t quite believe it.
My best individual online sale has been around £90. Most
customers come back and order more, so that figure could
actually well be more. I sell around £2,500 - £3,000
online per month now – mainly from my own group. It has
gradually increased to that over the last 7 months, as the
group has grown.
MY TIPS WOULD BE:
1) Have your own CLOSED group and promote it
everywhere; on all your online adverts, on
catalogues etc.
2) Take pictures of the products yourself
3) Brand yourself not Kleeneze. Put your group name /
logo on all your pictures and stand out from the crowd.
Zoe Climpson, Senior Distributor
“This is just my eighth week of selling online and I’m making
roughly £100 per week. My best online sale has been £70 for
one order. My top tips would be: Post daily and be friendly!”
Becky Taylor, Silver Distributor
“I started selling a little online during the summer months last
year, but since the launch of the Internet Specials, I’ve been
really consistent and built up online sales averaging an extra
£150 - £300.
Since the launch of K Life, Ian and I have seen a 26% increase in
our earnings compared with the same Period last year. We have
also seen a 67% growth in our team due to online selling, as
several have embraced it and duplicated what we’re doing. Our
biggest single order online has been £82, but we’ve lots of
people ordering regularly from us now.

Our top tip is to set up your own group, continually adding
people into it to create an online customer base. I post 3 – 5
products a day in our group most days of the week and about
80% of our online sales come from there. It’s the way forward –
creating an online customer base that you can service.”
Lorraine Balcombe, Senior Distributor
We started selling when the cutlery sets came out in September.
Between Period 10, to period 2 we averaged between £700 and
£1000 extra income from online sales only. It’s hard to put an
exact figure on it, but in December we sold £3,696 online and
£1,268 of that was Internet Specials.
Our biggest order was for £146. We gave her a free Travel
Holdall with that order. It was mostly Christmas presents because
she had a slipped disc and couldn’t get out of the house at
Christmas. She is a lovely customer and her sister has also
recently ordered from us too.
The biggest tip would be to personalise your posts make them
friendly and let people see your personality in your posts and in
your group.
Jacqui McCormick, Gold Distributor
We started dabbling with online selling during the summer of
2014, but started serious activity around September/October in
the run up to Christmas. Our best ever week has been over
£1,000 in additional sales earning us over £350.
We have never set out or wanted to be the biggest online
retailers and we see it as a top up to our catalogue customer
base so our period target is £1,000 spending no more than 2
hours a day promoting products via Facebook, Our biggest tip
would be to learn the skills via the trainings at
www.sellonfb.co.uk,be consistent with your activity and build
your own sales group where you can interact with your
customers and generate repeat sales and customer loyalty.“

My story: Michelle Robson
My business has made me the
person I am today
I started Kleeneze back in June 2007. I was looking for an extra
income to help out with my newborn, as well as moving home
and the usual bills. I was working 16 hours a week as a checkout
assistant at my local Asda store at the time, but it wasn’t bringing
in enough and I was fed up with using credit cards.
I started to search for some kind of job that I could do during
school times, but there was nothing. I didn’t give up looking,
though, because I knew that one day I would find something that
would help. I started to look in the local newspaper and that’s
when I saw a tiny advert saying ’Need to earn extra income?’ So I
left a voice message and within hours I had a phone call from a
lady called Maria (Longwright). She talked me through how the
business works and told me how it had helped other people earn
great incomes. So I started and within a couple of days I was up
and running and earning straight away.
Within a couple of months I was earning £250 every four weeks
which was fantastic! I was retailing on foot for the first couple of
Periods, which helped out with petrol costs. Having a son at
preschool and a baby, I used the pushchair a lot to help carry
catalogues and deliveries, but it meant that I didn’t have to worry
about childcare costs. I discovered in time the growth of my
confidence and this really helped me to see what i had in front of
me a fantastic future for my family and a better lifestyle. Then, as I
started to expand the business, I started to use the car. We had a
Ford Galaxy Ghia at that time and petrol costs were high, so I
needed to speed up with my business.
I spoke to my sponsor, Maria, and decided to start working on the
team building side. Before we knew it, our business had grown
along with our income. We changed car to help with our finances
and eventually we re-mortgaged our house to reduce payments.
Whilst going through the re-mortgage, though, my husband at
the time decided to leave me and the kids to be with someone
else. Battling through the divorce, re-mortgage, arguments and
trips to solicitors really took it’s toll on me so I reduced my level of
activity with business to retail only.
Times were really tough, so I took up running to reduce stress and
feeling depressed. I went to Relate to have counselling and I really
saw a difference in me – I had confidence as I spoke about my
business, how it’s helped and where I felt it was taking me. The
on thing I had was this powerful business to help me through.
This really helped and that is when I started reading personal
development books. I found some amazing people along the way
that really helped me. When I thought things wouldn’t get worse
with divorce proceedings, it did. My ex was in hospital and took
him a while to get back on his feet! In this time, I had done so
much and achieved so much I was becoming a happy person; the
happiest I had been in such a long time!
Happiness is a wonderful feeling and certainly attracts good things
in life. Good relationships with my customers, friendship and
earning more income for me and my children. I was so happy I
always had a smile on my face and that attracted the partner I am
with now! We have some amazing goals we will achieve and the
business can give us anything and everything we deserve.
We love our business so much! Our biggest goal now is to
pay off our existing loan as we have just brought a new car
Citroen DS3 and to teach Simon my partner driving lessons so he
can drive too!
My business has given me such confidence and has made me the
person I am today! I am so happy now – Simon and my children
mean the world to me and I will work my hardest to give them a
fantastic future and lifestyle we all deserve!

APRIL 2015 TEAMTALK 13
Network achievers
Work hard and it will all pay off
100 times in the future
In 2003, a year after joining Kleeneze, Andy Ridley qualified for his first incentive – a trip to
Barcelona. Two years later, he was en route to Athens, courtesy of Kleeneze. A year after that he was
Prague-bound. Then came trips to Vienna, the Caribbean, Cape Town and New York, picking up a
brand new Vauxhall Corsa on the way. All this simply for consistently working his business.
Now, with his luxury villa secured at the next Destination – Montego Bay, Jamaica – Team Talk caught
him for a quick chat to see what it takes to ensure success year after year.
How did you come to join Kleeneze?
I joined the business in 2002. I was working in the financial
services, as a Service rep at first and then as a Regional Manager
managing teams of up to 30 staff members. But I’d spent years
dreaming of escaping the whole 9-to-5 rat race. I had my eightyear-old daughter, living with me for half the week at that time, so
I needed something flexible too.
I’d heard of Kleeneze through my ex-mother-in-law. She was in
the business, but I’d never really looked at it as an option until I
decided I needed to have a complete change of direction in my
life. Once I’d joined, I started making a full-time income pretty
much straight away. I plunged straight into team building,
because I realised that was where the bigger, long-term incomes
came from. Since then I’ve just kept on building and
‘looking for lookers’, who might be searching for what I’ve found
through Kleeneze.
What were those initial months like for you?
I actually found them very physically demanding! I was so used to
driving around and sitting behind a desk that it was a shock to my
system. I lost about a stone and a half in the first couple of
months, running around doing lots of retail. I was also helping to
look after our very sick mother at the same time, as well as my
daughter. However, it just went to show how flexible the business
is that I could do that. My first cheque was just over £1,100 and I
was sold on the whole business.
You’ve pretty much qualified for something near enough
every single year you’ve been with Kleeneze! What do you
put this down to?
Having a great team, great Uplines and goals that are achievable.
You need to have belief in yourself and your goals. From there, it’s
making a plan and having a ‘can do, will do’ attitude, coupled
with working damn hard!
14 TEAMTALK APRIL 2015
What makes a Kleeneze Destination so special?
They are all special, because it’s usually somewhere that you
might not choose to go until you are taken there.
Also you might not be able to afford to go there! And they are
special for the things you experience with, and learn from, others
on the trip. The Kleeneze team make them extra special for every
single person.
I choose to keep qualifying because it keeps the business on the
‘right track’, as in maintaining and growing the business. And it
also shows and helps others they can qualify.
Andy Ridley and Louise Lee
with their sponsors John and
Jane Dunkerley in New York!
What keeps you motivated?
Income, recognition and helping others to achieve their goals. Not
always in that order!
You’ve said that you look forward to work every day now.
What is it about the business that you love so much?
The freedom to work hard, but when I dictate. Working from
home and mostly locally (no more early morning ‘rat race’!) And
knowing I have achieved something, for me or one of the team,
nearly every day.
What are your next goals for your business?
SED is top of the list, and has been for some time. I heard at a
meeting right at the beginning that it doesn’t always happen
when we want it to, but I’ll get there! That is an income level, that
I will be happy at, because then I can get Lou out of ‘the daily
grind’ as an administration supervisor. I’d also like my daughter to
join me back in the business, and I reckon that might be a time to
make that ‘goal’ a reality! Plus, more trips to exotic places - we do
like our travel, and seeing different sights around the world.
If you could turn back time to when you first started, what
advice would you give yourself?
I always tell my new starters: “don’t change anything. There’s a
system in place for everything we do and it’s for a reason.”
I didn’t change anything for years; I followed what my sponsors
showed me, and kept on using it! And give it time. Work hard,
and build a team as fast as you can, and that will all pay off 100
times in the future!

Kleeneze’s latest
30 Day Bonus qualifiers
Every day people turn to the Kleeneze opportunity for reasons ranging from earning a little extra cash to
changing their entire lifestyle. In their first 30 days, a new starter will receive 100 free catalogues every
time they place a retail order of £150 with an extra 50 when they place £600 of orders. These fantastic
free tools can give a new starter a great boost when they’re building that valuable customer base up.
Here are just a few of the stories from those who have hit this very first incentive in their
Kleeneze businesses.
I CAN SEE A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD
“I’m Chris Shearer and I joined Kleeneze because I wanted a
better life for myself, my wife and 4 kids. I achieved my 30
day bonus and retailed over £1,000 in my first full Period.
During this time I’ve also sponsored my very first team
member, Ben. I’ve followed our team system and got stuck
into the team building straight away.
For me, this has been a great
experience and amazing
journey so far. I’ve had
support from Debbie Gee
(our team leader), David
Welsh my sponsor and
crossline in the G-Force Team,
Jill Mason. Our team really
work together. Without them
all by my side I believe my
achievements would not have
been possible. The support
and guidance they have given
to me is amazing and by far
the best I have ever had in any line of work. I am in a fantastic
team we all stick together and help each other. It’s like one
big family.
I AM EARNING MONEY FROM THE
SIMPLEST BUSINESS
“I joined Kleeneze nearly four
weeks ago, just to build my
income and be able to afford
bills and day-to-day setbacks.
I wanted a different lifestyle
for my two children,
Isaac (10 months) and Lola
(2-years old).
I saw Brian Hewitt’s advert on
Facebook and I was sat there
for a good few days thinking
is this a scam are they just
going to take my
money and I never hear
from them again?
Well obviously not, as I am here now earning money from the
most simple business!
I received my books and on one of the first drops I got an
order for £112 from one customer. I was so excited and
determined nothing was going to stop me, as I have a
positive attitude.
I am now in my first week of what will be my second full sales
Period. So far, I am already up on sales from last Period. Our
system works and is proving itself to me over and over again.
Sticking to it and gaining repeat orders and also new custom
from people who didnt even look at my books first time
around. I’m loving every minute of my new business venture. I
can see a bright future ahead.”
On the second drop I picked another order for £77 as well as
other orders. Well by this point I was feeling better than ever I
was so excited. Every time I collected books back in I made
sure they were back out the same day. I hit my 10% bonus in
the first three weeks, so now, a new period has started and I
am in my fourth week but altogether since starting I have
retailed over £1,200 in orders.
Chris Shearer
During my first three weeks I attended two opportunity
meetings to learn more about the business. I have now also
started selling items online.”

I WAS CLASSED AS UNEMPLOYABLE
“I broke my back and neck in a road traffic accident and
spent years walking with sticks and a neck brace. Although
I have managed to recover to the point where I no longer
need them, my neck can cause loss of control of my arms
and legs and leads me to fall over frequently. For this
reason I am classed as un-employable and cannot get Job
Seekers Allowance, but because I can walk a hundred yards
and raise my arms above my shoulders, I am not entitled to
disability living allowance. In short I am entitled to nothing
and can earn nothing. This put stress on my 30-yearmarriage and we separated. I ended up homeless and
penniless. After becoming ill I was taken in by family, but
still had zero income.
I was searching for some means of making an income and
someone said you could earn money doing online surveys. I
tried it, and found it untrue, but from one of the surveys I
was contacted by Silver Distributor, Joseph Trzeja.
It interested me and Joseph was very passionate and
dynamic; he inspired me to give it a go.
The first day I was dropping catalogues and almost every
door had stickers on saying they didn’t want it or there
were Kleeneze catalogues from other distributors there.
I must admit I had doubts and concerns, but Joseph had
pre-warned me of this and said just drop them anyway,
the system works. His enthusiasm gave me hope and I did
as instructed.
Despite the other
Distributors, despite the
door stickers, I got orders

was right, the system
worked. After four weeks I
had earned 300 free
catalogues to help me
build my business and had
made it to 10%. I had
finally found a way to pay
my own way in the world.
I went to the Millionaires
conference and lots of amazing people gave up their free
time to help me build my business. I am in awe of the
opportunity that Kleeneze has given me.”

Money was really tight and
we were struggling. We were
using our birthday money to
put gas on, so we would have

We saw a friend of ours post on Facebook asking if anyone
wanted to earn extra money, so we contacted her and within
a few days we were up and ready to start. We have a great
mentors, Chris and Clare Kinsella, guiding us every step of the
way. Within a week of joining we had achieved our 30 Day
Bonus, mainly only doing the catalogues as we hadn’t quiet
got the hang of online selling yet.
Three weeks after joining Kleeneze we achieved our 10%
bonus which made us both very proud and our first cheque
was £192. We went to a couple of local meetings and saw
potential in the business which spurred us on to do more, so
with advise from our sponsors we started selling online. We
are now selling more online with Kleeneze and have managed
to get on the 1K board and achieved something which we
thought was going to take months to achieve.
I JOINED TO SAVE FOR MY WEDDING DAY
We’ve done all this while working around 12 hour shifts!
Our next goal is to reach our 13% bonus and have a member
join our team. We are looking forward to an exciting future
in Kleeneze.”
“I joined Kleeneze to save for my wedding day. I have
achieved three 30 Day Bonuses in my first 3 weeks. I’m
enjoying working – something I’ve not been able to say for a
long time.
Gemma Ineson
Having achieved my 30 Day Bonus and receiving extra
books, is great. I have been given something for doing well,
rewarded for my efforts and that is something I have not
experienced before.
I think part of my success is down to following the system,
constant communication with my sponsor and making sure
paper work is correct when doing call backs making sure I go
back more than just the once! Keeping bags and book clean
and tidy as it shows I care about what people are seeing,
nothing worse than posting something in a letterbox that is
dirty or tatty.
I owe this to Fred and Karen Mason who have been there for
me from day one to help and support me. So thank you for
helping me have my success.”

APRIL 2015 TEAMTALK 19
Our story: Cheryl and Benet Houkes
We weren’t going to miss out on
a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
Cheryl and Benet Houkes have been on quite a journey over the past couple of years, but have
overcome all obstacles and moved their business on to become first-time Destination qualifiers!
Now, the couple are set to embark on a trip of a lifetime, as moving their business forward has
ensured that they secured their place on one of Kleeneze’s top incentives – a luxurious stay at Half
Moon resort in Jamaica.
“We joined Kleeneze in July 2011,” Cheryl told us. “I had to give
up work as a homeless officer to look after Benet, who’s disabled.
At the time, my long-term contract was coming to an end anyway
and, even though I loved the job, I was tired of the 100 mile
commute every day, so wanted to find something that I could do
from home.
“We’ve been customers of Kleeneze for about 12 years before we
joined and knew the products were really good, because we’d
used them ourselves. There was a small question in our minds of
how can people make all this money just by putting catalogues
out, but within the first two weeks we did over £1,000 worth of
orders and could see if was going to work. We hit 10% in two
weeks and 13% in our first full Period. By October we were at
15% so we were wowed. We hadn’t started to build a team or
anything – that was just on the retail, starting with 200 books and
progressively building up to more as we built our customer base. It
was bizarre, because we’d met someone else who was doing
Kleeneze in our town and she told us how it didn’t work and that
she was struggling. We were like - we’re doing £3,000 a week in
retail! It works if you work and if you follow the system.”
However, the couple’s business was about to come to a halt. With
Benet’s health going downhill and their daughter being taken into

It had been a lifelong dream of Cheryl’s to swim with dolphins,
but the couple first saw the Destination announced, they thought
that it wasn’t possible. The announcement, months later, of a
second chance made their minds up that this was something they
couldn’t miss and they started to work harder than ever.
When they finally got the call from Michael [Khatkar] confirming
that they had qualified, they were over the moon. It had been a
rollercoaster ride for them, both personally and professionally, but
it had finally paid off.

Do you want to get your hands
on a free copy of Michael
Khatkar’s new book,
Tortured Love?
Tortured Love follows the
meandering life of one
individual and his bizarre effect
on a handful of people. It’s an
ever-changing pattern of the
world and you’re about to find
out how a personal influence can incite everything
from suicide and murder to love and romance.
This unique journey will be enlivening and
disheartening in equal
measures, concentrating
on a colourful array of
characters from
psychopaths to poets
and their parallel
coexistence.
Tortured Love is not for
the faint of heart but
then neither is
life itself!
We have 5 copies of
Michael’s new book
to give away!
For your chance to win, please answer the
following question:
What do we often find Michael’s opinion to be?
a) Humble
b) Mumbled
c) Grumbled
Send your answer and account number to
[email protected] with the subject
heading ‘Michael Khatkar’. The closing date for this
competition is 1st June 2015.

I started in Kleeneze at the beginning
of April after 4 years away from the
business. What prompted me to get
back into Kleeneze was the fact that I was out of work due
to a nervous breakdown brought on by stress. A this point
I knew I had to start working for myself again. When I
bumped into an old Kleeneze customer of mine who said
that she missed not getting the catalouge from me, I made
my mind up and rang my old sponsor, Jim Moynihan.
Within 2 days, I was up and running again.
Two days after my Kleeneze account was approved. I hit
my 30 day bonus by placing an order for €571.35. In my
second week in the business I hit the 30 Day Bonus for a
second time by placing an order for €209.60. I hope to hit
the 10% bonus by the end of my first period and to move
up the sales plan and be financially stable by Christmas.
