INTRODUCTION
The natural health field is growing at a phenomenal rate throughout the world as never seen before in history.
People are becoming aware of their body by seeing the detrimental effects that modern allopathic (drug)
paradigms have on their natural balance (homeostasis). Thus creating more negative anomalies than positive
results. The naturopathic approach encompasses the core building blocks of all living organisms by helping,
aiding and assisting them in building, repairing and maintaining health.
Since 1993, the Kingdom College of Natural Health has been an innovator in naturopathic education. Our
curriculum is somewhat more arduous than other contemporary educational institutions offering like or similar
degrees. However, the knowledge gained by studying here at KCNH will give you a solid foundation from
which to confidently engage in any aspect of natural health pertaining to your particular area of study
throughout the world. It is for this reason, we typically attract professional students seeking to further their
knowledge in natural health modalities.
When it pertains to human [natural] medicine, you will be mentored by a professional faculty trained in their
field of expertise and have been in the natural health profession for many years. We encourage both
professional and non-professional enrollment. If you are a novice to the natural health concept, a keen amateur,
or a seasoned professional, Kingdom College of Natural Health will provide a cultivated avenue to the kingdom
of knowledge you seek!

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Greetings,
On behalf of the administration, faculty, and staff, we would like to thank you for inquiring about Kingdom
College of Natural Health. It will be an honor to be considered as your choice of colleges for earning a degree.
Our catalogue will outline our unique degrees that range from the Bachelor’s degree through doctoral level
studies.
At the present time, there is a tremendous interest in natural health throughout the world. This interest is causing
the study of Natural Health to gain momentum and students are enrolling in course studies at an astonishing
rate. Unfortunately, this exceptional growth has lured some institutions to “jump on the bandwagon” to develop
natural health programs that are in many instances under-par. We are glad to offer you quality programs that
will provide a solid background in this popular field of study. You'll be mentored and guided by professionals
and experts with doctorate degrees who've been in the natural health field for many years.
KCNH is a relatively young college by comparison. It was launched in 1993 to meet the growing need of
quality education in the field of natural health and medicine. Notwithstanding, our faculty and executive leaders
are competent experts at designing curricula, marketing, and establishing quality institutions. The Kingdom
College of Natural Health brings together a faculty with over 200 combined years of teaching experience. With
experience in the nontraditional education movement and the alternative health community, Kingdom College
of Natural Health emerges as a stalwart leader in preparing a student to be an adept lecturer, consultant, writer,
educator, or practitioner. Our curriculum has been designed so the student is challenged, and motivated to be
original in their pursuit and research of academic knowledge.
Once you've reviewed our catalogue, please telephone or email us to discuss any questions or concerns you
might have. We have a policy that no question is too trivial to ask. Every question is important to you and to us.
Be assured, as a prospective student you will receive a response whenever you ask a question. Our telephone
lines are open on a 24 hours basis, and operated by live human beings.
We would like to congratulate you on taking the first step in preparing for the future in a field of growing
interest. We hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
D. Miles Jonsson

ABOUT GUAM
Guam is one of the most beautiful islands in the world. It ranks second to Hawaii in tourism, entertaining 2.5
million visitors each year! Guam is only 25 miles long and about 23 miles wide.
Guam’s beautiful hotels, crystal clear coastline water, and rich history may only be appreciated by an onsite
visit to the island. By air travel, Guam is 2.5 hours from Tokyo, Japan, 3.2 hours from Manila, Philippines, and
3.5 hours from Seoul, Korea.
Americans who live in the 50 states know little about US territories, especially the Territory of Guam. Residents
of US territories are American citizens and have the same rights as those who reside in the 50 states. Whatever
is legal in a US territory is usually legal in the 50 states. Guam is one of six territories under the banner of the
United States of America, and is the territory furthest from the US mainland (over 6,300 miles). Historical sites
abound in Guam, since it is the site of a furious battle that raged during World War II between the United States
and Japan. The Government of Guam is almost identical to that of the US mainland. This includes the courts,
postal system, schools, colleges, universities, etc. It’s difficult to believe a US postage stamp will send a letter
over 6,000 miles in either direction.

INFORMATION ON NATUROPATHY AND NATUROPATHS
Naturopathy Defined
Naturopathy as defined in the Prescription for Nutritional Healing reference text is: “A form of healthcare that
uses diet, herbs, and other natural methods and substances to cure illness. The goal is to produce a healthy body
state without the use of drugs by stimulating innate defenses.” Naturopathy as defined in the Encyclopedia of
Natural Healing is: “Natural Medicine or Nature cure. Naturopathy developed in the late 19th century, founded
on an ancient belief in the power of the body to heal itself.”
Naturopathy has similarities to other ancient holistic systems of health such as: Ayurveda and Traditional
Chinese Medicine. Principles of Naturopathy are found in the works of the Greek physician Hippocrates. In
1890, a German Monk, Benedict Lust, introduced Naturopathy to the United States.
Key Principles of Naturopathy
The modern naturopath believes the body will always strive toward good health (homeostasis), and that the
body is its own best healer when it’s properly cared for.
The following basic principles are observed by naturopaths:
•
•
•
•
•
•
Recognition of the healing power of nature
Find and eliminate root causes
Teach sound and natural health principles
Do no harm to a person by encouraging the use of drugs
Realize that disorders affect the whole person
Teach clients how to achieve a state of equilibrium (homeostasis), because this aids in preventing
diseases
8
Naturopath Defined
The term “doctor” traditionally defined one as “teacher,” and “naturopath” is essentially an educator “teacher”
of natural health methods that are utilized to improve wellness, health, and longevity. The belief of Naturopaths
is: “The natural state of the body is that of equilibrium (homeostasis). The equilibrium can be disturbed by a
lifestyle that is unhealthy which causes stress to the body and mind.”
Naturopaths evaluate the causes of underlying problems, rather than treating symptoms. They utilize diet, stress
control, and noninvasive therapies which stimulate the healing process.
NATUROPATHS DO NOT ENGAGE IN THE FOLLOWING:
Perform Invasive Procedures
Classical Naturopaths do not give injections, draw blood, or perform surgeries of any type. If the naturopath is
licensed in a field such as chiropractic, they may combine their treatment modalities with naturopathic
principles.
Exception: It is not uncommon for medical doctors to integrate naturopathic procedures and modalities with
conventional (allopathic) medicine. Medical doctors prefer to advertise their services through terms such as
“alternative medicine” or “integrative medicine.” In this context, invasive procedures may be performed
according to the mindset of the physician and the needs of the patient.
Disease Diagnosis
Although Naturopaths do not diagnose diseases, they may evaluate and analyze the root cause(s) of health
disorders.
Disease Treatment
Naturopaths do not treat disease, as their priority is on achieving health and providing education to the client. In
turn, the client will have the necessary knowledge to create and maintain an internal as well as external
environment that is supportive of good health.
Drug and Pharmaceutical Prescriptions
Naturopaths do not prescribe. However, a Naturopath may provide consultation and instruction to their clients
regarding the use of homeopathic remedies, herbs, vitamins and mineral supplementation, and other alternative
modalities. The clients will then be able to make choices on their own, thus gaining a role in their own abilities
to achieve a healthy state.

WHAT DO YOU GET?
At first sight, some colleges on the surface appear to be first-rate, but once you've taken a second look they
prove to be mediocre (average). A seeker (or potential student) seldom considers who is grading his/her
coursework and whether he/she is qualified to instruct and guide them. Some high profile schools and colleges
have catalogues that picture high level professors with doctorates. However, students learn later after they've
enrolled that none of their names appear on their graded coursework. The reason is simple. Well known figures
who are authors, teachers, and those involved in some form of natural health or medical practice do not have
time to grade papers for peanuts; they have gained prominence by staying busy and making money. This is a
practice we often see with some colleges. But what you receive from Kingdom College of Natural Health
(KCNH) is adequate. It stands to reason that excellent faculty members (professors) have a job. We hire the
“best-of-the-best” and contract them to work either full time with KCNH or part time. Some of our faculty
members are involved with teaching, research, or with a professional medical corporation on a full time basis.
By employing professionals to guide you, a quality education is assured.
10
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOU ENROLL
18 Frequently Asked Questions about Kingdom College of Natural Health
1. How long would it take me to complete a degree program?
This depends on the degree program chosen and how much credit you receive for life experience and former
academic studies. Although KCNH will give some limited credit to an applicant, we are cautious when granting
credit for life experiences since this is a trap used by diploma mills to snare (trap) an innocent student into
“buying a diploma” with no work required. Under normal conditions, our degrees require the same length of
time to earn as degrees offered by major universities. The bachelor’s degree takes between 3 and 4 years. The
master's degree programs take approximately 2 years. The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees take
approximately 3 years. The Doctor of Naturopathy degree (N.D.) takes approximately 2 ½ to 3 years.
2. What kind of coursework method (or design) do you use?
The KCNH methodology is unique and is designed to assist a student in learning and remembering what he/she
studied. Most assignments incorporate true & false questions, fill-in-the-blanks, essays/summaries, review of
author, special lectures by video, DVD, CD, and cassette tape, projects, theses, outlines, and multiple-choice
questions. Each course assignment accompanies the textbook that is shipped to you.
3. Who grades my coursework?
Professors who hold earned doctorate degrees in the field of natural health will grade all coursework. This
method guarantees you the best education possible. After your coursework is graded, you will receive a grade
sheet with the name and notes from the grading professor. All KCNH professors (or mentors) have over 20
years experience in the health field and some have over thirty or forty years. Most course-graders are in a
professional practice of alternative medicine or natural health at the present time.
4. How can I motivate myself since distance education requires personal motivation?
Our desire is to motivate students so they will not feel disconnected. Many colleges are weak in the essential
area of motivation and don't take time to motivate and talk to students once they're enrolled. Students who've
attended other colleges are amazed to learn of the pain-taking efforts made by KCNH faculty and staff to stay in
touch in order to motivate them. Moreover, students may telephone KCNH at any time during office hours to
speak to an advisor. Note: KCNH’s dropout rate is 3% while other colleges have approximately a 20% dropout
rate or higher.
5. Do I need a degree to enroll?
No. However, most applicants who enroll have earned several degrees. While KCNH tends to attract those who
are in professional fields, individuals with little education who want to earn a certificate, diploma or bachelors
degree are permitted to enroll.
6. Can an average person like ME complete the required coursework to earn a degree?
Absolutely! We have quite a few non-professionals, including some with handicaps.
7. Do you have on-site classes?
KCNH does not have an on-going curriculum that calls for classroom studies. Some seminars are conducted in
hotels in major cities throughout the USA. Courses are completed by distance educational systems using
textbooks, DVDs, and online lectures.
11
8. Are there “real” people working at KCNH, or will I always talk with voicemail?
Voicemail is never used during office hours. Presently the office staff (not faculty) consists of fifteen plus
individuals who are highly skilled. There are computer and phone operators, course material packers/shippers,
newsletter writers/editors, and others that perform numerous duties not mentioned herein.
9. What payment options are there for my KCNH degree program?
We offer the following payment options: 1) cash up front or a 90 day payment plan gives you a 10% discount;
2) monthly payment plans that may be as low as $110.00 per month with no interest. The monthly installment
plans may extend no longer than the number of years of your degree program.
10. Will I have to pay for my textbooks?
No, if you live in the United States or US Territories. Your textbooks are included in your tuition and will be
shipped to you along with each course assignment at no additional cost. Only the best textbooks are chosen and
penned by the most imminent authors.
Yes, if you live outside of the areas mentioned above. We will provide you the information needed to order your
books at a discount rate. Also, to compensate for this additional cost, you will be given an additional up front
promotional discount. This promotional discount will be reflected on your agreement when you enroll.
11. Are the courses self-paced and done at my leisure?
Students are shipped one course at a time with each three or four credit hour course taking approximately eight
weeks to complete. KCNH requires most courses to be completed within eight weeks. Most colleges use the
words “self-paced” to attract students, but we've learned if there is no “turn-in” date, coursework is never
finished on time. This method is called “Independent-Guided” studies, and not “Self-Paced.” Although there is
structure, there is freedom. When a student lags behind with his/her “turn-in” date because of sickness,
vacations, lost of job, etc., our faculty is most understanding and makes provisions for extensions.
12. Is KCNH accredited?
Yes, but not regionally accredited. However, students get confused about accreditation and some colleges
[even] mislead students who inquire about accreditation. When a student asks; “Are you accredited?” It must
be assumed he/she is asking, “Are you regionally accredited?” To our knowledge there are no regionally
accredited schools, colleges, or universities of natural health in America at this point in time. This means, it is
doubtful that credits will transfer to other colleges or universities that are regionally accredited. In the near
future some colleges will probably attain regionally accredited. At the present time, this is not a significant
matter. A more important question for you to consider is, “Does the college of your choice offer a quality
education?” And if it does, “How will you determine that?” (See “Confusing Terms and Their Meanings”
pages 14-16)
Kingdom College of Natural Health’s certificate, diploma, and degree programs are fully accredited by the
American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP).
13. Are there any groups that can legally accredit, license, or certify graduates of
naturopathic colleges?
No. Many associations, organizations, & councils claim they have the right & authority to accredit (sometimes
license or certify) individuals to practice all forms of naturopathy, acupuncture, herbology, iridology,
homeopathy, & other forms of healing. None of them, regardless of the name, has this authority. State laws
supersede any certificate granted to an individual by any group. Cases are being fought in court everyday &
not one of the so called “accrediting” or “certifying” groups has defended a practitioner they've certified.
Joining such groups gives a practitioner a false sense of well-being and safety, but these [certifying] groups
have failed to produce results. Their promises to “fight for” certain rights of practitioners have been forgotten.
12
Practitioners are left to fight alone and pay their own court fees; not a single court case has been won by a
practitioner who wasn't licensed by the state. Certification and/or licensure by any group when not approved/
accredited by a state where a practitioner practices is worthless should a “practitioner” be taken to court (See
“Confusing Terms and Their Meanings” pages 14-16)
14. Is there a cost for an evaluation of my academic experiences?
No. Most colleges charge a non-refundable fee of $50-75.00. We do not charge for evaluations. Why? When a
student applies to several colleges, these costs become a financial burden and may cost a potential student
upwards of $300.00.
15. How do I apply for an evaluation of my academic education?
Complete the proper application in the catalogue or online. Select the degree of your choice. IMPORTANT:
You need only complete the application and resume form in the catalogue or the one online. Tell us everything
about yourself. The more the better. If approved, you will be contacted by telephone or e-mail within 24 hours
after we receive your application. The evaluator will be happy to answer any questions when you talk with him/
her by telephone. However, you will not be officially enrolled until you sign the enrollment agreement and
return it to KCNH along with your first payment. Once your signed agreement is received, you will be
considered officially enrolled and your first assignment and textbook will be shipped the same day. Then, you
will have ninety (90) days after your enrollment date to mail KCNH your transcripts. This method has worked
well for the student and KCNH. It gives a student an opportunity to get enrolled quickly without any delays. In
the event we (KCNH) never receive the transcripts as promised, a student is expelled from the program. At this
juncture, such a drastic measure on our part has not been necessary.
16. Will my coursework be returned to me after it’s graded?
Only the grade sheet will be returned to you, with the exception being that of workbooks. All other student
homework will be destroyed. Students must make copies of their homework before shipping it to KCNH.
17. What are the minimum enrollment requirements?
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. In addition, a high school diploma, GED, or its equivalent is
required.
18. Do I have to pay to apply?
No. Your first payment is not due until you accept, sign and return your contract agreement to KCNH. Your first
payment is to be sent along with your signed agreement.

CONFUSING TERMS AND THEIR MEANINGS
(Taken from the 2003 published booklet)
Today in America there is a plethora of terms regarding “Accreditation” (or other similar statuses) used by
groups, educational institutions, accrediting commissions, and states. The following information should be of
immense benefit to anyone who is confused about various terms appearing in catalogues and advertisements. If
there is a term you've encountered not listed in this booklet, please contact us TOLL FREE at: 1-888-295-7304.
Terms Most Often Used By Associations, Organizations,
Natural Health Educational Institutions & States
Accreditation: A rather nebulous (unclear) term frequently used by educational institutions. Although some
institutions use the term “accredited,” it is of little value and does not guarantee any legal rights or good
standing within any of the 50 states. There are various accrediting agencies not recognized by the US
Department of Education.
Regional Accreditation: Four of these accrediting commissions (i.e., agencies) exist in the United States
covering the North, South, East, and Western regions of the country. They are considered the standard
commissions/agencies of governmental accreditation and are legally permitted to accredit institutions that meet
top-level criteria. Originally established by the US government after World War II to help veterans acquire
scholarships and education, regional accrediting commissions accredit nearly all state universities, colleges, and
various institutions of learning. Once an educational institution acquires regional accreditation, monies may be
obtained for grants, scholarships, etc. And in some cases, money may be obtained from the US government to
operate and pay for the daily expenses of the educational institution.
National Accreditation: These accrediting commissions are permitted to accredit educational institutions and
most are recognized by the US Department of Education. However, in most circles “National Accreditation” is
not respected as much as “Regional Accreditation.” Holding national accreditation does not guarantee college
scholarship monies from the US government.
Private Accreditation: At the present time, nearly all natural health colleges and institutes hold some kind of
“Private Accreditation.” Colleges are motivated to hold some form of accreditation since the public demands it.
Although a “State License” is more respected and more difficult to acquire, “Private Accreditation” does,
however, give some degree of confidence to the public, although it’s relatively easy to obtain. Be informed that
no state or governmental accrediting agency or state university will recognize any privately owned and operated
accrediting association, organization, or society, regardless of their claims.
Affiliated: This term generally means an institution/school is “connected” in some manner to another
educational institution (i.e., university, college, association, organization, or group). However, in a strict sense,
the term “affiliate” is technically a “division” of some other entity, usually considered to be the “parent
organization.” With this in mind, it is important for the public to know that certain universities and colleges
allow educational institutions/schools to “affiliate” under certain conditions as per strict criteria established by
officials of the “parent” institution. In some instances, the subordinate school may be charged a one-time fee or
on-going fee to be considered “in good standing” with the “parent organization.” The “power” of a school that
is “affiliated” with another educational institution may be limited, or in some cases there may be no limitations
placed on the “affiliated school” (i.e., “subordinate institution”) whatsoever. In a legal sense, the “parent
organization” may be responsible for the claims and actions of an “affiliated institution.”
14
Approved or Exempt: Some states permit the use of these terms for non-traditional colleges, but neither
“approved” or “exempt” means an educational institution is licensed by the state. “Approved” or “Exempt” are
terms that mean an institution has been granted permission to operate within the boundaries of a state if certain
criteria are met.
Authorized: The State of California allows the term “Authorized College” or sometimes “State Authorized” for
some non-traditional educational institutions. This does not mean such an institution is “State Licensed,” nor
does it mean it is recognized by the US Department of Education. Such colleges holding this status are
monitored closely by most State Departments of Higher Education.
Certificate: Any association, organization, or educational institution may legally grant a “certificate” in almost
any field or for any amount of study in most states. Usually “certificates” require a period of study ranging from
one to six months. However, some institutions may require a longer period of study depending on their criteria.
To our knowledge, few states limit the use of the term “certificate” with the exception of the state of Wyoming.
Note: A “certificate” is not a diploma, academic instrument, or degree.
Certified: Naturopaths have paid handsomely for the term “certified.” However, the term carries more
responsibility than one would imagine. The term “certified” causes the public to take notice and assume a
respected group/agency is attesting to the skill of an individual in a particular field. For example: there are
certified mechanics, body shops, plumbers, accountants, electricians, small engine repair shops, etc., (the list
goes endlessly on and on and on...). Groups often gain a voice within states merely because a large number of
people have joined their ranks and desire to possess the title “certified.” The bottom line is, the term “certified”
is no better than the group, association, organization, or agency that grants it. Not all organizations that grant
“certification” to individuals are reliable, respected, accountable, or honest.
NOTE: Organizations and natural health associations have not realized the seriousness of issuing a certificate
that reads “Certified Naturopath.” Should the certificate holder do something unethical or commit an illegal
act, the group, association, or organization that granted the “certification” may be implicated in lawsuits by
virtue of association with a defendant, and most probably be held legally liable by the courts.
Degree: A “degree” is regulated by most states up to a point. In the field of education, a “degree” is considered
an academic legal instrument granted by a college or university to a student who has completed a prescribed
course of study. A non-accredited Distance Learning Institution is usually given the status of “approved.”
However, this doesn't mean a college is licensed or accredited by the state where the institution is domiciled.
Furthermore, such an institution is not permitted to advertise for enrollment unless it is “approved” by the state.
IMPORTANT COMMENT ON DEGREES: If the state or country where the educational institution is
domiciled is not identified in the content of the degree or printed on the seal, the degree is usually not legal.
When a graduate holds a degree that is not legally registered, approved, or authorized by the state where the
educational institution is domiciled, a serious problem exists. For example: If by chance, a client files a lawsuit
against a practitioner for a matter relative to his/her natural health consultation, a shrewd lawyer will
immediately recognize the validity of any degree that is not registered, approved, or authorized by the state
where it is domiciled.
NOTE: Many well-known natural health colleges in the United States have been able to bypass state laws and
offer degrees in states where no approval has been given by the states. But according to our latest information,
current legislation and State Attorney General’s offices are making inroads to shut down such colleges. Some of
these colleges are well-known and hold a high profile in the eyes of the American public. Once these natural
health institutions are closed, the public will probably be shocked as to names of the institutions that were
operating illegally.
15
Designation: The term “designation” does not mean "degree”. A small number of natural health colleges in the
United States not legally permitted to offer a degree in certain states now use the term “designation” for a
certain study (i.e., some offer a “designation” in naturopathy). Webster’s dictionary gives the meaning of
designation as: “The act of pointing out; a specific indication; or that which designates; a distinguishing name,
title, etc.” Certain colleges using the term “designation” are rapidly gaining acceptance in America. Students
falsely believe they have earned a “degree” when they are the holder of a “designation” which is not an
academic instrument.
Diploma: Any association, organization, or educational institution may legally grant a “diploma” for the
completion of a study in some field. Diplomas may be obtained within one to three years of supervised
educational study. A “diploma” however, is NOT a “degree” and is not considered an academic instrument in
most states. However, there are exceptions. Some states require the same criteria for a “diploma” as for a
“degree.” When one wants to obtain a “diploma” from an educational institution, it is best to contact the postsecondary educational division (sometimes known as the Proprietary Educational Division) of the state where
the institution is domiciled to ascertain the legal status of a diploma.
Licensed: Some colleges not only offer a degree, but upon graduation offer a “license” to graduates. In
particular, this has been a practice of several religious educational institutions. However, it has recently become
a practice of naturopathic colleges as well. Many graduates of such schools have had legal charges brought
against them in several states for using the term “licensed.” In other words, organizations, associations, and
colleges may “license” individuals, but when operating/practicing their profession within the boundaries of
most states, they must be licensed by the state.
Registered: Some colleges of natural health are only required to “register” in a state if they qualify under a
religious not-for-profit 501(c)3 exception status granted by the Internal Revenue Service. States take no
responsibility for the claims or actions of such colleges. However, states often have to fix problems created by
such institutions if they have a low level of self-imposed accountability. At the present time, there is a “crackdown” in all 50 states and US territories on natural health colleges operating under the 501(c)3 not-for-profit
tax-exempt status. These colleges are being told to “cease” operations. However, religious institutions are
permitted to award religious degrees in certain fields, although they may be unaccredited.
NOTE: Some Natural Health Associations also offer various certificates granting individuals titles such as:
Registered Naturopath, Registered Homeopath, or Registered Natural Health Practitioner, and sometimes the
“Practitioner” may be referred to as “Consultant.” The term “registered” gives the practitioner no legal authority
in the 50 states and US territories, but will capture the attention of the public when one holds such a certificate.
The idea of the term “registered” is for the holder to appear “legitimate.”
State Licensed: To obtain a state license is difficult, to say the least. Some states follow the same criteria as that
established by regional accrediting commissions. Although the term “State Licensed” is not completely
understood by the public, a degree that is “State Licensed” is of more value and significance than a degree
accredited by a private accrediting agency.
NOTE: At the present time in America, there are less than three non-traditional distance education natural
health colleges that are state accredited.
State Registered: This term carries no legal standing. It simply means the educational institution is registered
(or permitted to operate) in the state, but has no accreditation, license, or approval from the state.
16
COMMENTS ON “BAD PRACTICES” OF SOME NATURAL HEALTH COLLEGES:
Some of the practices currently used by high profile natural health colleges are unacceptable. It’s difficult to
convince students enrolled at such colleges that certain practices are considered unethical, sub-standard, and not
acceptable by most current educational standards. How does this happen? Students are first captivated by large
advertisements placed in health magazines by colleges of natural health. Second, students enroll without
questioning the soundness of the degree programs offered.
SOME BAD PRACTICES ARE:
•
50 percent of course-graders for students hold a naturopathic doctorate degree from ONLY the college in
which they work. NOTE: Although some KCNH professors hold a doctorate degree from our institution,
they held a recognized/accredited doctorate degree in a natural health field from another institution before
earning their degree from KCNH. Moreover, KCNH unlike some other colleges, does not employ any
professors who are not familiar with the curricula/coursework. Our professors have a loyalty to KCNH and
a respect for the students they are instructing because having completed the same courses, they relate to the
struggles of students.
•
Course-graders with undergraduate (associate or bachelor) degrees grade the coursework of students
enrolled in master and doctorate degree programs.
•
Every student earns an A. Definitely a “bad practice.”
•
Students receive no detailed comments concerning their coursework; they only receive a grade. The coursegraders usually have no experience in the field of naturopathy. Therefore, they can offer no suggestions as
to how students may improve themselves. With such low criteria, students graduate without being
adequately critiqued on coursework content, grammar, thoroughness, objectivity, etc.
•
Students are assigned minimal coursework by the college to earn a degree. Some doctorate degrees are
completed within one year, while three years is the acceptable standard. This means a graduate is deluded
into believing he/she deserves such a degree title because a well-known college granted it, when in fact, his/
her knowledge is sub-standard.
•
No clinical experience/training is required of graduates. This means a graduate with an N.D. or Ph.D.
degree may “hang out a shingle” and open a natural health practice. Then, he/she practices on clients
believing he/she possesses the knowledge and skill to help them.
17
REMARKS ON ACCREDITATION
For more than one hundred fifty years, famous universities such as Harvard and Yale held no accreditation
because their reputation for excellence and self-imposed accountability were known throughout America. Only
recently, have these universities sought for and received regional accreditation. In view of how these
universities maintained their long-term excellence, it seems the same measuring-stick (or standard) may apply
to colleges of natural health.
The bottom-line is: “An institution shall only be judged by the knowledge and expertise its graduates possess.”
In other words, any natural health college that graduates highly skilled and knowledgeable graduates should be
rated by the public as a first-class institution. In the near future, there is little doubt that a small number of
natural health colleges will obtain “regional accreditation.” Until then, perhaps this material will you help you
locate a college that suits your needs.

DESCRIPTION OF DEGREES OFFERED
Bachelor of Science in Natural Health (B.S.) - This degree is for anyone who is eager to learn more about the
natural health field. It is a complete study that covers subjects such as anatomy, physiology, iridology, nutrition,
herbal healing, theories of naturopathy and homeopathy, and more.
Master of Science in Natural Health (M.Sc.) - This degree prepares a person for a deeper understanding of
subjects taken at the bachelor degree level. It is considered “advanced training.” Subjects learned are alternative
and conventional treatments, food remedies, lipid biochemistry, allopathic and naturopathic medical terms,
diagnostics & statistics for mental disorders, drug-herb-vitamin interaction, and more.
Master of Naturopathic Psychology (M.N.Psy.) - Kingdom College of Natural Health has always been a
“pioneer.” And we are the first natural health college in America to offer a Master’s Degree in “Naturopathic
Psychology.” This degree will be useful for those interested in psychology and for others who hold related degrees
in the field of Human Behavior. For the most part, it’s an integrative degree and will benefit one who desires to
help friends, family, or clients to gain the “extra-edge” in improving their health which psychology alone cannot
give.
Master of Science in Medicinal Herbalism (M.Sc.) - Main stream medicine has overlooked the value and health
benefits of herbs. This degree is in much demand and will help familiarize one with hundreds of herbal remedies
and their scientific use in humans. A student will learn how to use herbs for different human maladies and learn
the differences in the various herbs found on different continents. Many kinds of herbs, safety measures, and their
use will be explored such as: Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Native American herbs, and South
American herbals.
Master of Science in Nutrition (M.Sc.) - Today in our society, health Professionals are expected to possess
adequate knowledge in nutrition. This is a degree that will keep one updated on the latest research that is
dependable and reliable. A holder of this degree will be knowledgeable in nourishment, detoxification, fluid and
electrolyte balance, blood types, anti-oxidants, anti-stress disorders, physical fitness, infectious diseases, and
mental performance. Once the eating and nutritional habits of one is explored, then a regimen may be designed to
help anyone to better his/her lifestyle. Oddly, even some medical doctors today are taking studies in nutrition,
since this significant field has been overlooked by medical colleges.
Master of Homeopathy (M.Hom.) - Homeopathy is one of the oldest forms of medicine in Europe, the United
States, and Canada. It is a drugless form of medicine and is making a strong “whirl-wind” return in the 21st
Century. The Master of Homeopathy degree will build a strong foundation for one in homeopathic knowledge and
will give him/her the expertise to consult (or counsel) with others about their health concerns.
Doctor of Homeopathy (D.Hom.) - One of the most respected degrees in the world. However, few if any,
American Colleges of Natural Health offer such a degree. This is the same degree offered by many renowned
homeopathic colleges in Europe and India. A holder of the Doctor of Homeopathy degree will have an
understanding of European, Indian, and American homeopathy. And a practitioner shall be able to treat friends,
family, or clients appropriately. A holder of the Doctor of Homeopathy degree is prepared to enter a private
practice or become a lecturer or natural health consultant.
Doctor of Naturopathic Psychology (D.N.Psy.) - This degree is attractive to a Licensed Clinical Psychologist,
lecturer, nutritionist, or a person in the mental health field. In some instances, persons who simply want the
knowledge this degree offers may also apply. With such a degree, one may integrate several forms of medicine with
great success in a private practice. There is a pressing need for the knowledge this degree provides in the North
American society, inasmuch as most colleges of natural health tend to minimize the significance of psychological
knowledge and training for a practitioner.
22
Doctor of Botanical Medicine (B.M.D.-Pharmacognosy) - Many people have a keen interest in botanical
medicine. However, due to various legal or personal reasons, they do not wish to become clinical practitioners.
Considering this need, this degree program is designed for people who wish to become apothecaries or
pharmacists of botanical medicines. Upon graduation, the individual would be qualified to consult or operate a
formulary and dispensary that serves the holistic health community.
Doctor of Natural Health (D.N.H.) - This degree prepares a person to be a consultant or practitioner of the
healing arts. In states where practitioners of naturopathy are licensed and degreed as "ND" or "NMD" one
must consider other options. One may earn the Doctor of Natural Health (DNH) and act as a "consultant" in
accordance to state laws and respective residency.
Doctor of Naturopathy (N.D.) - This coveted degree is often held by individuals who are not physicians.
However, it is not uncommon for a Chiropractor, Medical Doctor, or Doctor of Osteopathy to hold such a
degree. This degree program teaches a student about the role of good and bad fats, detoxification, parasite
prevention, geriatric therapies, energy healing, sports nutrition, and much more.
Doctor of Science in Clinical Nutrition (D.Sc.) - Few colleges of natural health offer such as degree as this. It
may be used as a “practicing degree” while at the same time, it is a concentrated study in the “science of
nutrition.” It covers a variety of unique subjects that will help one to become adept in many areas. It is a degree
that delves into the “sciences” in which many practitioners today are lacking. Consider this degree a
challenging and high-level study that covers almost every aspect of clinical nutrition.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) – A Ph.D. degree has always been considered a "Research Degree." However, it
is not uncommon for the Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathy, Doctor of Chiropractic as well as other
professionals to earn it. This degree is similar to the Doctor of Naturopathy, with the exception that it requires
more research and more theses (or dissertations) to earn it. Our Doctor of Philosophy degree is presently in
much demand where new licensing laws are restricting traditional naturopaths from using the ND and NMD
degrees. The holder of this degree will have the knowledge to teach, research, or practice naturopathy in
accordance to state laws or respective residency.
PROFESSIONAL DEGREES
Licensed professionals are beginning to realize the value of nutrition and natural healing. However, these
professionals have not been afforded natural health training from traditional medical colleges. When a licensed
doctor uses natural substances for clients, his/her state board may chastise him/her for deviating from
“traditional protocol.” Nonetheless, physicians are willing to risk losing their license when they see the results
produced by proper nutrition and alternative therapies. Today in America the public is “crying out” for a more
humane treatment for heart disease, cancer, and other diseases. Now, more than ever, professional practitioners
have an obligation to stay up-to-date on research and employ healing systems that bring results for clients.
Kingdom College of Natural Health is proud to offer the following professional degrees through its School of
Integrative Medicine:
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (N.M.D.) - In some circles this degree is becoming more recognized as an
"integrative medicine degree." Various professionals, who already hold a professional degree, or license, or the
equivalent, may apply. Certain exceptionally experienced non-degreed and non-licensed people may qualify for
a specialized curriculum leading to the NMD degree. If interested, contact the KCNH Admissions Office.
Doctor of Homeopathic Medicine (H.M.D.) – This degree is the same as above with the exception of the
emphasis being on homeopathy rather than the general study and practice of naturopathy.

Many people have a keen interest in botanical medicine. However, due to various legal or personal reasons,
they do not wish to become clinical practitioners of such. Considering this need, this degree program is
designed for people who wish to become apothecaries or pharmacists of botanical medicines. Upon graduation,
the individual would be qualified to consult, or operate a formulary and dispensary that serves the holistic health
community.

Chang Lee, N.D.
Dr. Lee is one of the world’s foremost authorities in the field of “Bee-Sting Acupuncture.” He has
conducted research in the “Bee-Sting” treatment for over 20 years. Dr. Lee recently completed one of the
first books every written (Korean language-to be translated into English) on this controversial treatment.
This Bee-Sting treatment has now come to America and is reaching other countries in Europe. It purports
to be a treatment that offers some hope for asthma and arthritis.
A PERSONAL NOTE from Dr. Chang Lee: “I feel that the Bee-Sting method used by American researchers is
dangerous. American researchers allow the bee to sting the client. This in my opinion may cause allergic reactions and
shock to some sensitive clients. I instead, pull out the “stinger” from the bee with a special instrument and use the
stinger like an acupuncture needle. It is very effective and I've seen thousands of people benefit from my treatment. By
my method I can inject a client with the venom slowly, day-by-day, without any harmful side effects.”

Review, and other assessment tools.
LIMITATIONS OF CERTFICATES, DIPLOMAS, AND DEGREES
Unknown to the public is that a degree from any college (accredited or not) does not guarantee the holder
(recipient) any privileged rights, that might conflict with city, state, province, or country codes or laws.
Therefore, as it is with other institutions of higher learning. Graduates must understand that a certificate,
diploma or degree of any kind earned from “KCNH” shall not be construed as a license and/or certification
to practice, consult, or educate others in the field of medicine, naturopathy, homeopathy, herbology, psychology,
acupuncture or any other health care modality in any city, state, province or country. Although there usually are
not any restrictions to consult with and/or educate others in most cities, states, provinces, or countries, a KCNH degree
(or a degree from any institution) does not nullify local laws.

Mental Instability

Other reasons or conditions not listed in the aforementioned above
INDIVIDUALIZED LEARNING APPROACH/HOME STUDY ALTERNATIVE
Programs of study at Kingdom College of Natural Health are designed so courses can be completed with maximum
freedom of study and flexibility. When a student enrolls in a program, course assignments and required textbooks are
mailed to him/her. When a student completes a course, new materials for the next course will be mailed to him/her.
Students are encouraged to contact KCNH by telephone, letter, or email four weeks before the completion of each course.
KCNH will in turn ship their next course and textbook without interruption or delay. This method helps a student to
maintain his/her momentum, since he/she may be new to the distance education arena. Each course assignment has a due
date. This model keeps a student on schedule.
62
INSTRUCTIONAL METHODS
A doctorate level professor will ALWAYS grade or assess a student’s coursework. Unlike some colleges that allow
course graders (or grading professors) to hold only an undergraduate degree, this method ensures the best education
possible for a student. Moreover, professors only grade coursework in subjects they are proficient in.
EXAMINATIONS
Every college student is concerned about final exams, because their final grade is most likely determined by it. We have
learned from experience that many good students actually freeze-up when they realize their final grade will be based on
their score on the final exam. Therefore, if a final exam is given for a certain course, it is never more than 3-5 essay
questions by open book method and without a proctor. The final exam will only constitute 20% of your final grade. We
have taken this stance because the studies at KCNH are so extensive; it seems redundant to allow a final grade to weigh
heavily on the results of a final exam.
ADVANTAGES AND SERVICES
Each course assignment is shipped with a textbook included at no extra cost. Therefore, students will not need to purchase
a separate textbook. If textbooks were not included, it would cause the student to experience a delay in completing their
work in a timely manner. All our textbooks are written by the most competent authors who are experts in their field.
Therefore, to offer a degree program at our low tuition rates along with textbooks is an advantage to students. KCNH
decided to use this concept since its leaders have many years of experience in the field of distance/nontraditional
education. Furthermore, these leaders/teachers have successfully mentored and graduated thousands of students. This
method has proven time and again to be of benefit to students according to their own testimonies. Some colleges that
specialize in long-distance education seldom mention what a student should do when they have a question and need to talk
with a professor. Not only do we allow students to call us Toll Free on our hotline to speak with their professors, but we
encourage this. Few colleges make such a statement since they prefer not to be bothered with telephone calls or emails
once a student enrolls. Imagine how wonderful this service is for a student who is struggling with a certain subject.
LATE FEES
Students electing to pay for their coursework on a monthly basis will be charged a late fee if the tuition payment is not
received in our offices by the 15th day of the month. This institution reserves the right to charge a $25.00 fee for NSF
checks.
NOTE: Repeated late payments and/or failure to pay on a student contract may adversely affect your credit rating. If a
student becomes 90 days past due on tuition payments, grades and courses will not be shipped until the student’s
account is made current.
TIME LIMITS FOR DEGREE COMPLETION
A student is sent only one course at a time. A textbook accompanies each course assignment. In most instances a student
is allowed eight to ten weeks to complete each course. This is important, inasmuch as when a “Turn-In” date is not given
to a student, they tend to lag behind and get discouraged. NOTE: Extensions are allowable in some cases when approved
by KCNH.
YEARLY LIMITS:
•
•
•
•
•
•
Certificate — 8 months (3/4 years)
Diploma — 20 months (1 3/4 years)
Bachelors Degree — 60 months (5 years)
Masters Degree — 36 months (3 years)
Doctorate Degree — 48 months (4 years)
Doctor of Philosophy degree — 60 months (5 years)
NOTE: The above deadlines may be decreased depending on the number of credits awarded upon enrollment in a degree
program.
63
COURSEWORK AND CREDIT HOURS
A student is mailed one course at a time and the approximate time for completion is eight weeks. Textbooks are also
included with all coursework if the student lives in the US, US Territories or Canada. There are no test
requirements for students, since the coursework is very thorough and the completed work is a reflection of how much a
student has learned. Coursework consists of multiple choice questions, fill-in-the-blank statements, true & false
statements, and essays & summaries. From time to time students are required to develop lectures recorded on cassette,
video, CDs, and DVDs. Some non-traditional educational institutions do not require enough clock-hours for a student,
but KCNH is different. To ensure a quality education for a student, we design courses that require 20 to 30 clock-hours
per one credit hour of study. This means a 3 credit hour course will take approximately 60 to 90 clock-hours to complete
depending upon the abilities of a student.

COURSE DELINQUENCIES
It is the student’s responsibility to notify KCNH when additional time is needed to complete a course. Kingdom College
of Natural Health’s guidelines for completing courses are: All 3-4 credit hour courses should be completed within an 8
week period; All 6 credit hour courses should be completed within a 12 week period; each thesis (15,000 words) should
be completed within a 16 week period. Students are allowed 2 extensions per course based upon approval from the
Academic Review Committee for extenuating circumstances. If a course is submitted within 30 days after the date of the
second extension due date, the student will receive an automatic grade point deduction. However, if a student is given 2

Kingdom College of Natural Health does not offer a job placement service. It does however make available to students
referral requests that may come in from various companies seeking qualified individuals. A database of students is
maintained so this information can be provided to parties requesting information. Students should periodically update
information to the database.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Students will have many reasons to enroll in a natural health program. Some may enroll simply to increase personal
knowledge, while others may enroll to gain knowledge that will provide them with the necessary background to enter the
65
field of natural health. Some career opportunities that may be possible include: Natural Health Educator, Natural Health
Product Retailer/Wholesaler, Naturopath/Naturopathic Consultant, Holistic Health Consultant, Nutrition Consultant,
Natural Health Writer and Natural Health Consultant.
NATUROPATHIC CERTIFICATION
Upon earning your doctorate degree, you may contact Donald Rosenthal, M.D., N.D., President of the American
Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) and the American Alternative Medical Association (AAMA) in reference
to Board Certification. See page 67.
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
Some states and countries require one to hold a license to work in specialized areas of the natural health field. It would be
advisable for a student and/or graduate to contact his/her state, territory, or country licensing divisions in regards to
regulations and policies pertaining to this matter. It is not the goal of KCNH to prepare students to meet licensing
requirements inasmuch as each state, territory, and country has different policies relevant to the natural health field. The
sole purpose of KCNH is to provide students with academically sound programs of study.
NON-DISCRIMINATION
The Kingdom College of Natural Health Nondiscrimination Policy does not permit discrimination on the basis of gender,
race, creed, national origin, or disability.

School of Clinical Nutrition
Michael Dubanewicz, B.S., M.Ed.,Ph.D.
Dr. Dubanewicz holds many kinds of degrees, but describes himself as a “Culinologist.” He insists that
though nutrition is important for good health it is often described in “vague” terms. When foods are not
cooked properly the nutrients are destroyed and thus good health benefits are not the result. He brings to
Kingdom College of Natural Health a unique twist for the School of Clinical Nutrition which is not offered
by similar colleges.

instruments that would not perform any better than these would be approximately $12,000 USD. Dr. Cuntrera may be contacted for the

INTRODUCTION
The School of Natural Animal Health officially opened as a school falling within the purview of the Kingdom
College of Natural Health where it currently resides.
As people in America continue to become more aware of the natural healthcare route for their animals, a
greater demand is being made upon traditional allopathic veterinarians to provide such services. However,
training in the modern American veterinary schools does not delve deep into this basic knowledge. Thus,
these students may feel inadequately prepared to successfully provide these effective methods of approach
after graduation. The School of Natural Animal Health has designed a complete, thorough, and
comprehensive degree program directed toward educating students on each scientific natural healthcare
modality as primary to that which is commonly found in the standard veterinary curricula.
In reviewing past animal health history here in the USA, we discover that the vast amount of knowledge that
was once commonly practiced by our animal practitioner ancestors, has been all but forgotten by having our
attention diverted by the “bells and whistles” of today’s fancy electronic gadgets and overwhelming
pharmaceutical commercialism. With this being said, the School of Natural Animal Health has been created to
“reinvest” people of that in which they have been “divested”. The School of Natural Animal Health has taken
the direction of providing a solid foundation from which the graduate may feel skilled and comfortable when
encountering the vast array of health challenges in both large and small animals.
Naturopathic animal education has been commonplace throughout the world for many decades now; however,
to our knowledge, no college in the United States of America currently offers this kind of degree program.
Thus, we are proud to have developed the first naturopathic (natural) animal health diploma and degree
programs. Our diploma and degree programs guide those who wish to become skilled and familiar with the
overall philosophy and ultimately may apply their acquired knowledge as practitioners in the field of animal
naturopathy. In our opinion, the standard of education toward animal naturopathy should be equal to that
which as has been realized in human naturopathy for many years.
The School of Natural Animal Health has continued since its inception to advance, establishing thorough and
exclusive natural animal health education. We have specifically sought out, and employed, a diverse
professional faculty that has solid and comprehensive backgrounds in natural animal health modalities.
Our doctorate degree curricula encompass each and every valid modality falling under the umbrella of general
naturopathic animal medicine. Our primary goal is to establish exclusive and comprehensive curricula for
naturopathic animal medicine worldwide. This should inevitably be realized by the educational soundness and
competency of our graduates.
It must be understood that our diploma and doctorate degree programs are designed for the specific purpose
of educating people who have an interest in natural animal medicine encompassing the study and application
of animal naturopathy.
OUR DIPLOMA AND DEGREE PROGRAMS DO NOT PREPARE ONE TO BECOME
A LICENSED ALLOPATHIC VETERINARIAN OR PRACTICE
ANY FORM OF VETERINARY MEDICINE.
We look forward to helping you attain your goals!

Dangers of Vaccines
4
This is an eye-opening course on the dangers of vaccines. We have been told to believe that vaccines are for
our protection against the many viruses that are just waiting to attack our bodies and that of our animals if
we don’t have vaccine protection in place. The textbook for this course is written by holistic veterinarian,
Dr. Patricia Jordan, and as a preface to the book she writes, “We should rewrite the books of medicine to reflect the understanding that disease has evolved from the very use of vaccines. Never should we have allowed
the inoculation of poison; the grafting of man and beast. Now we all carry the scar of medical superstition;
the genetic plague of “inequity.” You will journey through the history and institution of vaccines, learn what
they are, and what they are not. Most importantly you will discover the truth behind vaccines.
First Aid for Pets

An introductory course on first aid for dogs. This course includes 70 dog first aid topics and the included
DVD shows step-by-step how to perform the skills needed to administer first aid care to a dog. This course is
designed to help everyday people manage emergency situations on their own with speed and confidence.
Touch Modalities
4
The goal of both massage and acupressure is to restore and replenish the body, to bring balance and harmony
back to the body to allow for optimal health and well-being. While this course is an overview of these healing
modalities, what you learn will be easy to apply and utilize with your own animals and along with witnessing
the benefits acupressure and massage can bring to your pets. The textbook and DVD are by leading experts in
the healing touch modalities of animal acupressure and massage.
Flower Essences

NATURAL ANIMAL HEALTH

COURSE TITLE
Natural Animal Health Concept
3
An animal’s inability to say what it is feeling worsens the tendency of modern medicine to focus on the
immediate problem and treat the malady as fast as possible, whether with drugs, surgery, natural medicine, or
all three. The philosophy of good health begins with having “a strong immune system.” When it comes to
animals, the consultant, must be super-sensitive and have good training so that he/she will know what to do for
an animal. This is similar to the philosophy of “Natural Health” for humans. It begins and finishes with good
nutrition, vitamins & minerals, proper exercise, understanding of diseases that may occur, and controlling the
stress both physically and mentally.
Organic Farming and Food Production
3
It seems that “organic foods” are here to stay. This study will teach you what to look for and how to use it.
Unfortunately some of the techniques for growing food is expensive, and also the materials needed and the
skills to use them are often not available. You will learn how food producers can make use of different kinds of
plant and vegetable parts to improve their soil by converting them into organic matte., in compost heaps, etc.
Animal Husbandry
3
You learn about various animals such as hogs, chickens, cows, etc. and how they are bred for the production
of food. Study how animals are fed, vaccinated, stimulated by growth hormones, and made health for food production. Control over the health of animals is the concern of “animal husbandry.”
Animal Nutrition
3
Until recently major food manufacturer of food for small pets put many by-products of low quality in their
food. In 1983, the Hills company, waged an advertising campaign showing the value of their product and good
nutrition for optimal health .We tend to assume that pet foods have improved in quality over time. But this may
not be true, although the labeling is more impressive. Most foods use meat or fish by-products, but use mostly
heeds, feet, and various organs. This study is valuable; you'll learn much that you did not know. You will learn
the value of Holistic Nutrition, herbs, and much more.
Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology I
3
In this course, you will study the structure and function of small animal cells, tissues and organ systems.
In this course, the canine and feline species will be studied.
Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology II
3
In this course you will study the structure and function of birds, small rodents, and other exotic species.
Animal Homeopathy
3
Homeopathy, a healing branch of medicine discovered over 200 years ago, has been highly successful with
humans and animals. Presently, it is making a “come-back” in America. Discovered by Samuel Hahnemann, a
German physician, he used many of the experiments on himself, and had many reported healings when used on
his patients. These substances, at times, may be toxic, but when they are produced a certain way for remedies,
they become harmless in the body. Substances are made from vegetable, mineral, animal and other sources,
which are made from a crude substance or alcohol extact call the mother tincture. The knowledge you’ve gain
from this study may change the way you view homeopathic medicine, and what he can do for animals and
humans.

Animal Body Work
3
Animals become tense and stressful like humans. But few humans know this. You’ll be amazed at what animal
acupressure and massage will do for a pet. When using massage you’ll learn exactly how to rub certain
muscles in a pet, and also how to use acupressure for even better reponse. Western practitioners explain
massagae and acuprressure by saying: “It is effective because it stimulataes nerves increaes blood circulaion,
relieves muscles spasms and releases hormones, all of which asist the body’s self-healing.
Flower Essences and Essential Oils
3
Aromtherapy and essential oils are being used today for humans, burt also for animals. These essential oils
are expensive, but for good reason: It takes a large pile of herbs to produce the oils with the sweet fragances.
It isn’t necessary to work with distilled or extracted “essential oils” to employ the principles of aromatherap,
for any fragrant herb canhave a plesant, healthful effect. Essential oils are so concentratedd that they are
rarely used at full strength on animals. But you’ll learn all the secrets, from taking care of pets with ticks and
fleas, or how to adminster the oils just for better health.

It seems that “organic foods” are here to stay. When it comes to buying consumable goods for ourselves, our
children and our pets, more and more people are making the switch to organic products. The term “organic”
simply means farming without the use of synthetic chemicals. In this course you will learn the benefits of

Comprehensive Animal Nutrition
3
One of the most important courses for natural health practitioners of small animals. Animals need a variety of
nutrients including fats, carbohydrates, proteins and vitamins that serve as co-factors for enzymes to provide
energy and strength in their bodies. Until recently major food manufacturers of food for small pets put many

School of [Animal] Iridology
Mercedes Colburn, M.A., N.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Colburn received her Master of Arts in Vocational Education from the University of California,
Berkeley, Doctor of Naturopathy from Trinity College in Indiana and a Ph.D. in Alternative Medicine
from Richmond University in London, England. She studied human iridology with Dr. Bernard Jenson
who is the founder of the modern-day art of looking at the eye. After completing her studies she wrote
several books on human and animal iridology. In addition she founded, “Through The Eye International.” Later, having become experienced in the science of herbology, she became a practicing herbalist
and owner of an herb farm. It was during this time two of her prized horses died from colic. This encouraged her to combine her fields by researching how iridology may assist with diagnosing diseases in
horses and how the use of alternative medicine may heal them. Iridology has become a familiar tool that
Dr. Colburn uses and has taught hundreds of other therapist as well to use effectively. When she sought a
veterinary consultant, she collaborated with Dena Eckerdt, DVM, to create the “equine iridology grid.”
Together they learned that the intestinal system of horses (as in humans) lay the secret of how debilitating diseases begin. Proving the effectiveness of the “equine iridology grid” by means of veterinarians,
necropsies, and pathology labs has been a journey of great value. “Through The Eye International” offers
this ‘Equine Iridology grid” as a much-valuated tool for equine veterinarians and therapists.
