ELMHURST UPDATE Fall/Winter 2015 works in progress Schenley Place (left), Elmhurst’s Oakland project which began construction in 2014, is preparing for completion in early January. Two tenants have signed leases for over a third of the building. The first is a large tech company, which plans to take a large portion of the first floor and a portion of the second. The second tenant is the University of Pittsburgh, whose campus is a quick walk from this Class A office building. Elmhurst has added new office and flex space to its McClaren Woods Business Park. Building 4000 (top right) should reach completion in the spring. McClaren Woods offers a rustic setting—including wooded areas and walking trails—within the convenient location of Findlay Township, just three miles from Pittsburgh International Airport. Finally, this fall Elmhurst finished the construction of Airside Business Park Building 300 (bottom right). Located in Moon Township at the site of the former Pittsburgh International Airport Terminal, this park offers numerous amenities, including an attractive courtyard, clock tower, fountain, sidewalks and an on-site deli which provides breakfast, lunch and catering services. Stucki, an engineering, design and manufacturing firm, has already signed a lease for a large portion of the building. disaster recovery plan Earlier this year, Elmhurst worked with Sungard Availabity Services to create a disaster recovery plan. This plan allows Elmhurst to stay in business in the event of an unforeseen catastrophe, ensuring continued service to our tenants. new to elmhurst Eric Schindler Director of Leasing Eric Schindler joined the Elmhurst team in September as Director of Leasing. A resident of Gibsonia with his wife and family, Eric takes an active interest in a variety of outdoor sports, including hunting, fishing and kayaking. Howard Jackson Site Manager Howard Jackson started with Elmhurst in April as site manager at the Bechtel Building. Together with his two children, he enjoys bike trails, treasure hunts and competitive shooting. George Mettrick Site Manager George Mettrick, future site manager of Schenley Place, has been working since September at William Penn Plaza. He spends most of his free time with his two sons who play ice hockey and his daughter who enjoys karate and dance. bruce retires Bruce Longenecker, Vice President of Operations, retired at the end of the year after over thirty years of dedicated service to Elmhurst Group.
