For your donation to the People for Elmhurst Parks Foundation, a bronze plaque will be installed on an available lamp post to preserve the legacy of your loved one. Choose a lamp post near your home or near a certain place in Elmhurst that held regard for their life. The People for Elmhurst Parks Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization, and your donation is tax deductible. For information in purchasing a lamp post, please call (630) 993-8923. The Elmhurst Park District invites you to honor a loved one or remember a special event with a permanent, engraved paver brick to commemorate your special occasion, family member, or loved one. With three locations to choose from, your brick can be placed in the Diana Nicholas Memorial Garden at Wilder Mansion, within Elizabeth’s Friendship Walk at the Wilder Park Formal Garden, or at The Hub at Berens Park. Each brich can accommodate up to 13 characters on two lines. Prices vary according to location. For information on purchasing a commemorative When the Park District builds a new park or renovates an existing park there are opportunities to install a new park bench in the area. When these opportunities arise, we invite our patrons to commemorate a special event, or a special person in their lives with the Park Bench Memorial Program. Once installed, park benches are marked with a bronze plaque and can be personalized with up to three lines of type. The commemorative park bench will be a long-lasting living rememberance to benefit the community for many years to come. The Living Tree Memorial Program is available to commemorate individuals, organizations and special events such as birthday and anniversaries. Memorial trees, once planted and marked with a bronze plaque, will be a long-lasting, living remembrance that benefits the community for years to come. A wide variety of trees are available through the program, with prices varying according to species. Bronze plaques are placed at the foot of each tree to remember a loved one or celebrate a commemorative event. Plaque prices vary depending on the size and length of message. Trees may be placed at any of the Park District’s twenty-three park sites.
