Level 1 styles are the least expensive
because they contain the fewest colors and
are the simplest to produce.
Level 2 and Level 3 styles contain more
colors and are more complicated to
manufacture.
Each color combination has a name which
is listed on the first line. The second line
indicates the dye style and level. Turn to the

Whoever says there are no shades of gray
obviously doesn’t know about our Untied Line.
Garments can be dyed any solid color you can
conceive. Choose a color from page 8, or have us
match your PMS or Pantone textile swatch
[$100 (P) for custom matching with sample].
Like all of our tie dyes, we make our Untied Line
using fiber-reactive dyes. The dye molecules
combine with the fibers of the cotton to create a
permanent bond, so the vibrant color won’t fade.
Opposite are several solid Untied colors on the
Gildan 2000 PFD. PFD means “prepared for
dyeing”. All of the stitching on PFD garments is
dyed to match the shirt. For a unique Untied look,
add a stripe on a Gildan 5000. The polyester
stitching on the Gildan 5000 does not take dye,
providing an interesting contrast. We dye a wide
selection of other garments as well. Call for
options.
