MONTGOMERY, MSW, LISW-S, BCD Jeff Montgomery has been with the Chillicothe VA Medical Center since October 2010 serving as the OEF/OIF/OND Mental Health Point of Contact. In this position, Mr. Montgomery provides individual, marital counseling and case management to Veterans and their families as well as providing in-service and outreach education on military and Veteran culture issues including PTSD, Military Sexual Trauma, Suicide Prevention and Traumatic Brain Injury. Mr. Montgomery also has assisted in the development of a Veterans Justice Outreach Program throughout southeastern Ohio. Mr. Montgomery is a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Supervisor by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board; a Certified Trauma Therapist; trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy; a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work by the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work; and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. BOBBY L. PERKINS, MSW, LISW-S Bobby Perkins has been with the Chillicothe VA Medical Center since 2010 and has served as the medical center’s Veterans Justice Outreach Specialist since January 2011. Mr. Perkins previously has worked as a case manager for a foster care and adoption agency in northwest Ohio and as a Social Work Supervisor for the National Youth Advocate Program in Columbus, OH, for six years which peaked his interest in the judicial system. In 2009, he accepted a supervisory position with the Department of Youth Services, where he worked on program development and served as the lead for the department’s Strengths Based Cognitive Behavior Treatment initiative. Mr. Perkins also represents the Chillicothe VAMC on the Ross County Re-entry Coalition. He received his Master of Social Work from the University of South Florida in 2003, and his Bachelor of Arts from The University of Findlay in 1999. Mr. Perkins is a recognized Licensed Independent Social Worker - Supervisor in the state of Ohio. STEVE BLADES, LISW-S, LCDC III Steve Blades receieved his Master of Social Work from the The Ohio University in 1997, and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Miami University in 1992. He has licensure as an Independent Social Worker with Supervision endorsement in the State of Ohio and is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III also in the State of Ohio. Prior to becoming the Lancaster CBOC social worker in March 2008, Steve was a program manager at an agency serving children and families in Columbus, OH, for seven years. His past employment history also includes working in a residential treatment center for substance abusing teens, working on a youth mental health crisis team, and providing long-term case management to severely mentally impaired adults.
