Senior Mini-Bowling League
Computer Classes
Two-pound bowling balls are used in this new senior minibowling league in partnership with Senior Services of Aurora.
Form a team or sign up as an individual and be placed on
a team. Cost includes two games, lunch and beverages. The fee is due upon
check-in at the site on league days. For information, call Jennifer at Prisco at
630-859-8606. The league plays on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.

Grandparent/Grandchild Mini-Bowling
Senior Bean Bag Baseball
Love baseball but don’t want to run the bases? Join this new
Senior Bean Bag Baseball team, where players toss beanbags
through holes cut into plywood (like other beanbag games)
and labeled “single,” “home run,” etc. It’s easy and fun to play. The park district
challenges the team from Senior Services in Aurora and then goes out and
competes against other groups. The group will alternate between playing at
Senior Services and Prisco. (JHP)

Bring the grandkids to try mini-bowling. Everyone will get to bowl two
games and enjoy pizza and pop. Afterward, everyone has the option
to pay to play video games, the laser tag course and more. Please

Bunco Dice Game Days
Bring some friends for a fun day of Bunco, refreshments and prizes on the second

This driver safety course is designed to help drivers 50 and over to
learn defensive driving strategies. Participation is mandatory for both
days to receive a certificate that may qualify for an insurance discount.
The fee is payable to the instructor at the first class. Please pre-register so there is

Rules of the Road Class
Lifeline Health Screenings
Those age 55 and better can brush up on their driving skills before
e! testing or getting a new driver’s license. The class is free and offered
through the Illinois Secretary of State. Registration is not required for
this class. (JHP)
These affordable, non-invasive, painless screenings scan for potential health
problems. The screening session take 60 to 90 minutes for all five screenings.
The screenings offered are: Cartoid artery, peripheral arterial disease, abdominal
aortic aneurysm, osteoporosis and artial fibrillation. Pre-registration is required
by calling 800-690-6313. The screenings are offered by Life Line Screening, the
nation’s leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings. (JHP)

June 15 – Ask a Rehab Facility expert:
Learn how a Nursing and Rehab facility can help keep people out of
hospitals, how to avoid being re-admitted to a hospital after a recent
discharge, how to best use home care and educational forum services and
learn when and who to call for help. Refreshments will be served. Speaker
will be Sara Clymer, Admissions Coordinator from The Tillers. She has a
Masters in Family and Consumer Sciences specializing in Gerontology.
July 20 – Ask a Cancer Care Center expert with Rush-Copley:
Learn about skin cancer prevention and early detection. Speakers are:
Jeff Coleman, RN, BSN, clinical manager of the Cancer Care Center; and
Judi Bonomi, RN, MS, MSN, OCN, director of the Cancer Care Center and
Inpatient Nursing.
Aug. 10 – Ask a Social Security expert:
Learn seven important facts about Society Security from James L. Flanagan,
owner and principal of Bentron Financial Group in Naperville. Jim is a
Certified Estate Planner with the National Institute of Certified Estate
Planners and is a Registered Financial Consultant.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so why not make it a social
outing? The Breakfast Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 8:30 a.m. at
Mother’s Pancake House and Restaurant at 2290 W. Galena Blvd. in Aurora. (JHP)
Over 60 Club
This senior social club meets monthly to share lunch and a variety of programs.
Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month at the Prisco Community
Center and cost $2. Area residents are invited to bring their own service and a dish to
pass by noon. For more information, call Club President Sue Moga at 630-892-2588.
“Edad De Oro” Social Club
The Golden Age Hispanic Social Club meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays at the
Prisco Community Center. The free club is designed for men and women age 50
and older. Activities include games, food and holiday decorations. The meetings
are conducted in Spanish. Membership is free, and all are welcome. Call Frank

Years
The Friendly Center Club meets at noon on Thursdays all year
long at the Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave. in
Aurora. The club is for all active adults 55 and better. Anyone
may visit twice as a guest, and the third time may become
a member. Everyone must register in advance for luncheons.
Members pay $2 dues each week. The club plans numerous
activities every month, such as birthday parties, bingo,
luncheons, holiday and theme parties and guest speakers.

Originated in 1951, the Friendly Center Club was the vision
of John A. Lippold, who felt a club for ages 55 and better was
needed. Today the club includes more than 250 members who
meet at the Prisco Community Center. The club officially turned
60 years old last November.

Golden Foxes Walking Club Summer Schedule
Join active walkers age 55 and better on Tuesdays at
8:30 a.m. at the following locations. If the weather is
too cold or rainy, then we will walk inside at the Prisco
Center. The Walking Club is free to join and there is no charge to
