Come Welcome
Pastor Bruce and the
Greenough Family
on the patio following the single 9:00a.m.
service on May 1. We will hear from the
assistant Pastor Nominating Committee and
Pastor Mark as they officially welcome the
Greenoughs. Coffee and refreshments will be served.
Team #57 (Jessie, Nathan, Connie, Grant, Deborah, Marcy,
Tami and Mark) returned from Baja on April 8 with wonderful
memories of relationships and work accomplished. When asked
about relationships on trip #57, Mark Lawler responded, “In 5
short days I felt as if we were part of Gonzala and Enrique’s
family. Enrique gave us a tour of the ranch where he and Gonzala spend most of their time working. On the drive, Enrique
shared how he came to live and work in Benito Juarez and San
Vicente at a very early age; from losing his mother at 8 days old and being taken in by an uncle to
striking out on his own as a young teenager. What an interesting story!” Your check to CPC with
“Dos Pueblos” in the memo will be gratefully received for Trip #58, June 20-24. See Sandra Kunes
if you are interested in this next mission trip. Our trip #58 budget is $8230. Thanks be to God.
Men’s Fellowship: Join the men this coming Saturday at 8:00 for Men's Fellowship.
John Goodwin will be teaching. Another reason to come is to help us celebrate Todd Taylor's
birthday. Per his request, breakfast will be waffles, eggs, pastries, fruit, juice and coffee. We
specialize in fellowship, so come and join us and bring a friend.

Mission Opportunity to build homes in Tecate, Mexico:
In keeping with our commitment to our sister churches in our ECO Presbytery's Mission Affinity
Groups, we are sharing mission outreach opportunities offered at other local MAG churches. The
following is from Malibu Presbyterian Church and is an opportunity to serve in Mexico on a very
short term mission outreach as described below by their mission team leader Lisa Cislo.
"I promised I would share with you information about our 2 day trip to Tecate to build
homes over Memorial weekend. All of the info and registration is up on our website:
malibupres.org and we welcome anyone who is able to go. The cost is very minimal, gas
for own car, hotel room for 1 night ($80) and own food. We will be building 3 homes over
2 days! With God all things are possible!"
