Legend has it that the Cuba Libre, (rum and cola with a slice of optional lime), was first
invented in 1900 in Havana, Cuba. It is said that it was drank to toast Cuban freedom from
Spanish occupation.
In 2006, the spirit of Cuba came to the Lion City at Clark Quay where you can find Cuba
Libre Café & Bar. Designed to invoke the spirit of a Cuba trapped in a time long forgotten, it
is reminiscent of a typical Havana bar. An imposing wrought iron outline of Che Guevara
takes place of honor above the main bar. He was a famous figure who came to be a hero in the
sixties for his radical political stands for the people of Cuba. His profile with the iconic beret
and red star can still be seen throughout Cuba and has a dominating presence at Cuba Libre.
From Monday to Saturday, Cuba Libre’s band light up the evenings with a stunning array of
live performances; make sure you bring your dancing shoes as the place fires up late into the
wee hours.
Cuba Libre serves up a myriad of cocktails including Singapore’s best Mojito. Perhaps the
oldest cocktail in Cuba, the name derives from the African word “Mojo” which means “to
cast a spell” and that is exactly what it does – at least after you’ve had two or three. The
Capirinha is a must-try at Cuba Libre along with the exotic Caipiroska.
Two Cuban Classics that create a stir here include the Cuba Libre – Rum, Coke and Lime and
the El Presidente - an easy-drinking cocktail – Rum, Pineapple Juice and Dash Grenadine.
Both are signature cocktails at Cuba Libre.
Guests can also choose from different variations of Daiquiri, Margarita, Batida, Pina Colada,
Cuban beers – Cristal and Bucanero and a variety of other beers and a great selection of wine.
Cuba Libre has a wonderful selection of authentic Cuban food and other dishes from around
the Latin world.

Confidentiality:
- All terms of this proposal should not be disclosed directly or indirectly to any third
party.
- All rates quoted are based on the requirements as communicated to us as at the date of
this proposal. Should the requirements change or differ, Cuba Libre reserve the rights
to offer a revised quotation based on the new requirements.
Deposit and Payment:
- Payment of 50% of the sub-total amount is required for deposit upon confirmation.
- Balance of or full payment of grand total amount as agreed on signed quotation must
be made three (3) days prior or on the day of the event.
- Preferred payment mode – crossed cheques made payable to “Cuba Libre Private
Limited”.
Service Charge and Taxes:
- All rates, unless otherwise quoted, are subject to prevailing government taxes.
Cancellation Policy:
- With notifications of one (1) month or more prior to the event date, a full refund will
be made.
- With notifications of more than three (3) weeks but less than one (1) month prior to
the event date, 20% deposit will be refunded.
- There will be no refund for cancellations made three (3) weeks or less prior to the
event date.
