A trusted name in global education
A degree from the University of London is a mark of excellence,
respected by employers and universities worldwide
Academic excellence since 1858
The University of London International
Programmes has been giving students across
the world access to globally recognised
University of London degrees since 1858.
Past students include seven Nobel Prize
winners, politicians, judges, authors, public
servants, academics and leaders of business
and industry. We now have over 52,000
students in more than 180 countries.
The University of London and the
Caribbean
The University of London has a long history
in the Caribbean, with students first taking
our exams in the 1870s. The University of the
West Indies awarded University of London
degrees before it became independent in
1962. Among our famous alumni are Derek
Walcott, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature
in 1992; the Honourable Arthur N. R. Robinson,
former President of Trinidad and Tobago;
Percival Patterson, Jamaica’s longest serving
prime minister; and Howard Cooke, a former
Governor-General of Jamaica. We now have
over 4,000 students in the Caribbean.
Standards you can rely on
You can be confident in the standard of your
degree. The standard of assessment is consistent
wherever you study, whether on campus at a
University of London College, or anywhere in
the world. You are assessed using dependable
methods, such as unseen examinations.
This helps to ensure that your University of
London qualification is of the same high
academic standard, however it is achieved.
ACTT recognition
The University of London is
recognised by the Accreditation
Council of Trinidad & Tobago
(ACTT) as an awarding institution. This
recognition was granted in September
2009 for a period of seven years.

About your study
Studying with the University
of London is a challenging yet
rewarding experience. We aim
to give you as much flexibility
as possible about how, when
and where you study.
You don’t need to put your life on hold to study.
Our flexible study periods – with options for full
or part-time study – allow you to fit your study
around your work and family commitments. If
you travel for or have plans to move overseas,
you can take your studies with you.
Study independently or get local tuition
A UK education at a reasonable price
In Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, you
can study with one of our network of
recognised teaching institutions that support
our undergraduate programmes. These
institutions offer lectures and seminars which
help you to structure your studies and give
you an opportunity to meet other students.
Alternatively, if you want a more flexible option,
you can study independently. More information
about teaching institutions is on page 11.
Studying with the University of London
International Programmes is much more
affordable than coming to London to study
on campus. With no travel, relocation or
accommodation costs, it represents great
value for money. What’s more, you can
continue working full-time and spread
your payments across your degree.
Listed opposite are the typical total costs
of studying our degrees, based on you
completing in the minimum time. This covers
your admission, registration, study materials
and examinations. The fees listed do not
need to be paid as a lump sum – you can
pay as you go. If you choose to attend a local
institution, you will have to pay additional fees
to the institution. You will also have to pay a
fee to your local exam centre to take exams.

‘The University
of London’s
International
Programme is an
excellent option
for any student
seeking a degree from
an internationally recognised
institution. The wealth of
knowledge I acquired over
the three years as a student
encouraged me to become a
more astute individual with
a passion for acquiring new
wisdom. I would recommend
the International Business
programme to any student who is
seeking a greater understanding
of how globalisation is
affecting everyday business.’
