BABYBJÖRN SUN COVER FOR BABY CARRIER
Congratulations on choosing BABYBJÖRN Sun Cover for Baby Carrier, a
versatile sun protective cover for your child’s sensitive skin. The sun cover
fits the BABYBJÖRN Baby Carrier Original, Baby Carrier Air, Baby Carrier
Active and Baby Carrier Synergy and is suitable for the same weight and
age ranges as the baby carriers.

UPF – WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
The Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) rating shows how well a fabric
protects the skin from solar UVR and lets you select sun protection clothing
with confidence.
Ultraviolet radiation, UVR, is present in sunlight. Sunburn is one sign that
the skin has been exposed to too much UVR. Clothing that is sensibly
designed for sun protection reduces the UVR exposure.
UPF 40 - EXCELLENT PROTECTION
This UPF rating is for the fabric and does not address the amount of
protection which is afforded by the design of the article. The manipulations
involved in garment manufacture such as stretching and sewing may lower
the UPF of the material.
Articles which have been designed to cover the maximum area of the body
are recommended. The protection offered by this item may be lessened:
• at points where the fabric is in close contact with the skin such as across
the shoulders
• if the fabric is stretched
• if the fabric is wet
• with time, due to the effects of normal wear.
This item does not provide protection against reflected
or scattered solar ultraviolet radiation.

The fabric is tested according to AS/NZS 4399:1996 and is rated
UPF 40, Excellent Protection.
Mesh: 100 % polyester
Fabric: 100 % polyester
All textiles are Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Class 1 certified.

overheated.

¿QUÉ SIGNIFICA UPF?
La escala del Factor de Protección Ultravioleta (UPF) indica el grado de
protección que un tejido proporciona a la piel contra la radiación solar
ultravioleta (UVR) y te permite seleccionar tranquilamente prendas de ropa
con protección solar.
La radiación ultravioleta, UVR, está presente en la luz solar. Las quemaduras
del sol son una indicación de que la piel ha estado expuesta a demasiada
radiación ultravioleta, UVR. La ropa diseñada y pensada para proteger del
sol reduce la exposición a la radiación ultravioleta, UVR.
UPF 40 – EXCELLENT PROTECTION
(PROTECCIÓN EXCELENTE)
Esta escala UPF se aplica al tejido y no se refiere a la cantidad de protección
que ofrece el diseño del artículo. Las manipulaciones efectuadas durante la
fabricación de la prenda, tales como el estiramiento y las costuras, pueden
reducir el UPF del material.
Se recomiendan artículos que hayan sido diseñados para cubrir el máximo
de superficie corporal. La protección que ofrece este artículo puede verse
reducida en los siguientes casos:
• En puntos donde la tela se encuentra en estrecho
contacto con la piel, por ejemplo sobre los hombros
• Si la tela está estirada
• Si la tela está mojada
• Con el tiempo, debido al efecto del uso normal
Este artículo no proporciona protección contra la
radiación solar ultravioleta reflejada o esparcida.

UPF – QU’EST-CE QUE C’EST?
L’indice UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor – facteur de protection aux
ultraviolets) indique dans quelle mesure un tissu protège la peau contre
les rayons solaires UV, ce qui vous permet de choisir vos vêtements de
protection en toute confiance.
Les rayons ultraviolets (UV) sont présents dans la lumière du soleil. Un
coup de soleil signifie que la peau a été trop exposée aux rayons UV. Des
vêtements judicieusement conçus pour protéger contre le soleil réduisent
l’exposition aux rayons UV.
UPF 40 – EXCELLENT PROTECTION
(EXCELLENTE PROTECTION)
Cet indice UPF s’applique au tissu proprement dit et ne concerne pas le
degré de protection apporté par le design de l’article. Les manipulations
intervenant dans la fabrication d’un vêtement telles que la tension du tissu
et la couture peuvent réduire l’indice UPF du matériau.
Il est conseillé d’utiliser des articles conçus pour couvrir le corps au
maximum. La protection offerte par cet article peut être diminuée :
• Aux points où le tissu est en contact direct avec la peau, entre les épaules
par exemple
• Si le tissu est tendu
• Si le tissu est mouillé
• Avec le temps, en raison de l’usure normale.
Cet article ne protège pas contre le rayonnement
solaire ultraviolet reflété ou diffus.
