A few hardy Lost Riders joins the band of bikers for the Ride To The Wall in some challenging weather. This
annual ride sees thousands of motorcyclists of all ages from around the UK coming together for a moving
memorial service. The service remembers the people whose names are engraved on the walls of the
Armed Forces Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum. More than £400,000 has been raised for
the Arboretum over the past eight years.
CENTRE CHARITY UPDATE
Were R Here – Our charity chosen for this year is planning to hold a “Party in the Park” at Arnot Hill Park on
8th April next year for kids and supporting parents. Kev wonders whether we should inlcude a ride in to the
charity on this day as part of our Gathering of the Clans activities or whether we should keep the two
events separate and hold the Gathering the week before. Please let Kev know your views at:[email protected]
We are also looking for ideas for fundraising events that we can hold between how and April. It was
suggested that we could ask for an optional £1 donation from those attending our rideouts – again let Kev
know your views and any other great ideas you may have to raise funds for this worthwhile cause.
RAFFLE PRIZES
Chris and Lorraine always hold a great raffle as part of our Christmas bash. They once again need your help
with donations of suitable raffle prizes. You can bring these along to the next centre meet or bring them
with you to our Party on 19th Nov at Kegworth.

A good turnout of Lost Riders once again supported this annual event
Hi All,
Well the C9 BBQ went very well and was well attended. I really enjoyed it - thanks go to
Kev and Bev for cooking the food and for the salads and Thank You All for coming (pics
below). The Leicester meet at the Nags Head went well, low on numbers but still had a
nice time.
Our Christmas party is on the 19th Nov at Kegworth. I have done gigs there myself it’s a great place. If you
have your ticket keep it safe and get your free drinks. The week after is my 65th Birthday Party on the 26th
Nov. You are all invited more info is on our website I hope you can come.

RIDEOUT CALENDAR
SKEGNESS BEACH RACING - SUNDAY 6TH NOVEMBER 2016
I am arranging a rideout to Skeggy for the above – I have been told it is much better than the Mapplethorpe Sand
racing as they build up the sand into mounds to make it more interesting. See the website (link below)

Obviously the weather in early November could be somewhat inclement and therefore I suggest we make a final
decision nearer the time. So keep an eye on Facebook or contact me.
The racing starts at 11:30 (3 Hours) Meet at Gunthorpe at 10:00 for a 10:30 start.
