It has as main aim to foster the integration of the immigrant communities in Italy. The members of the association are all volunteers with an immigrant background. The association has the following objectives : • To promote social, economic, and employment integration of foreigners in Italy; • To promote cooperation and social well-being of foreigners and foreign communities in Italy; • To facilitate mutual understanding, friendship, solidarity, cultural exchanges between Italian citizens and foreign nationals; • To raise awareness among foreign communities in Italy and the Italian population on issues of interest, such as the access to employment and vocational training, local sustainable development, interculturalism, access to social and health care services, etc; • To promote cooperation and solidarity for the social, cultural and local sustainable development. Also, we will very much appreciate your support to publish project info in your local/regional/national media - please send us the link or a copy of the newspaper The project “Open windows”, will take place in Zagarolo (Rome), Italy from 1 to 8 November 2014 and will be hosted by the Volunteering Association INCREDERE with 8 partner organizations from Portugal, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Romania, Slovakia and Bulgaria. The Project is implemented with financial support from the European Commission through the ERASMUS + Program. During the project the participants representing volunteers, trainers and youth workers, being a mixed group of youth and youth with fewer opportunities, will meet to learn and share their knowledge about intercultural communication, how to use IT in social work, how to build partnerships, develop leadership skills and new projects. The project objectives: 1. Develop the ability of youth workers to turn ideas into projects by acquiring a deeper understanding of (the backgrounds of) the project life cycle 2. Share best practices and promote the cooperation in the youth field, through developing common projects, actions and initiatives 3. Develop skills and competence of youth workers in the field of intercultural communication 4. Share and introduce new approaches in youth work 5. Accommodation, food, as well as activities costs will be covered from the project budget. Travel expenses will be covered after collecting all travel documents, and with the condition that the participants use the cheapest ways of transportation and have submitted original invoices of plane/bus/train tickets. Private cars, Taxi and first class tickets will not be reimbursed. Reimbursement will be done in EURO, regardless of the currency indicated on your ticket and receipt/invoice. Please note if you bought your ticket in your local currency, we will calculate your travel costs according to the exchange rates of the official European Commission web-site : http://ec.europa.eu/budget/inforeuro/index.cfm?Language=en Please make copies of your tickets and invoices before you will come to our Project. E-mail those copies to us at [email protected] as soon as you buy them. After we received all the tickets and original boarding passes we will make the reimbursement. TRAVEL COST The travel costs were calculated according with the new EU rule. Venue: Wiki Hostel Zagarolo, Address: Colle delle Casette, 34, 00039 Zagarolo/Roma, Italia The rooms are for 4, 5 & 6 persons. The closest airport is in Rome. There are two airports in Rome: Fiumicino and Ciampino both are well connected with Rome city center. All participants are strongly advised to purchase private travel insurance. PREPARATION For the workshops: - For IT workshops please bring with you lap tops and cameras ( one per country should be ok) - For the partnerships workshop please prepare a presentation about your organization, work sphere, field of activities etc. In case you plan new project applications this will be a perfect place for you to look for partners - For intercultural activity – each participant should bring a product from your country that means something for you or represent you in some way (For example, for Italy I can bring pasta that means Italy for me) Or it can be a spice or something that represent you and your country, culture, history etc. Multicultural nights – presentation of the countries. Please prepare for this night and bring any items from your country with you (traditional music, food, drinks and other stuff representing your country and culture).
