THE RECYCLING SOURCE
The City of Gainesville’s guide for recycling & disposal
By Joni Rollen
This guide is brought to you by the City of Gainesville Solid Waste Division to heighten your
awareness as to what can be done with unwanted items. It is our intent that you will be able to
find alternative ways to try and recycle unwanted items in some form or another and if not, then
at the very least, the proper place and way to dispose of them.

Grease / Cooking Oil / Vegetable Oil
Used or unused oil or grease (such as salad dressing or bacon fat)
