Accessing Internurse/Intermid via the Proxy Server
1. Select the proxy server. Firstly, select the browser are you using:  Internet Explorer  Google Chrome 2. Unselect the proxy server setting NOTE: If you are accessing this journal from your workplace you may have to get your IT Department to unblock the IP address (89.101.215.24) and
Port (8080) Internet Explorer
 If using Internet Explorer please follow the instructions: Step 1 ‐ When you are logged on to www.nurse2nurse.ie select >> Tools >>

Step 2 ‐ Select the Connections
tab and click LAN Settings 2
Step 3 ‐ Select “use Proxy Server for your
LAN” Step 4 ‐ Then select the Advanced Button b

Step 5 ‐ In the Proxy setting dialog box type the following into the HTTP: field ‐ 89.101.215.24
Step 6 ‐ Type the number 8080 into the Port field and click OK. 4
Step 7 ‐ Click OK again  You will then see the following screen. Select either Internurse or Intermid to continue. If you do not see this screen, please re‐fresh the page. Google Chrome

 If using Google Chrome please follow instructions 1a‐1d below: Step 1a – When you are logged in to Nurse2Nurse select the Customize
and Control Google Chrome button 6
Step 1b – Select the Settings option

Step 1c – Scroll down and then
select Show Advanced Settings

Step 1d – Under the Settings heading, scroll down until you reach the heading Network. Then select Change proxy
setting.
Go to Step 2

WEBSITES.
 Follow steps 1‐2 if using Internet Explorer or 1a‐d and 2 if using Google Chrome. Step 3 ‐ Un‐tick “use Proxy Server for you LAN” and click OK
