Indicates single patch square on point. A. Pattern #15299 – CRE1 (large floral): 1. Cut five 41⁄2" x 42" strips. Crosscut forty 41⁄2" squares. B. Pattern #15299 – WIN1 (large floral): 1. Cut nine 41⁄2" x 42" strips. Crosscut seventy-six 41⁄2" squares. 2. Setting Triangles & Corner Triangles: Cut three 67⁄8" x 42" strips. Crosscut thirteen 67⁄8" squares; cut once on each diagonal. Yields fifty-two Setting Triangles. Using remaining strip, cut two 37⁄8" squares; cut once on the diagonal. Yields four Corner Triangles. 3. Cut seven 21⁄2" x 42" strips for 4-Patches. C. Sew two segments together to make twenty-six 4-Patches (Figure 2). Press. Crosscut into sixty-eight 2½" segments. Sew two segments together to make thirty-four 4-Patches (Figure 3). Press. Figure 3 Make 34. 4.Sew six 2½" strips of #15301 GRE1 (small floral) to six 2½" strips of #15302 PUR1 (tone-on-tone circles). Press seams toward dark fabric. Crosscut into eighty-four 2½" segments. Sew two segments together to make forty-two 4-Patches (Figure 4). Press. Figure 4 Make 42. 5.Sew seven 2½" strips of #15299 WIN1 (large floral) to seven 2½" strips of #15303 RED1 (tone-on-tone leaves). Press seams toward dark fabric. Crosscut into one-hundred 2½" segments. Sew two segments together to make fifty 4-Patches (Figure 5). Press. Figure 5 Make 50. QUILT ASSEMBLY FINISHING 1.Prepare backing with a vertical seam to measure 74" x 90". 2.Layer quilt top, batting, and backing. Baste layers together. 3.Quilt as desired. 4.Trim batting and backing even with the quilt top. 5.Join binding strips with diagonal seams. Be careful to match the stripes. Apply binding using your favorite method. 1.The blocks in this quilt are assembled on the diagonal across the quilt beginning in the upper left-hand corner, as shown in Figure 6. Press all seams in one direction, alternating direction from row to row. To complete the quilt top, join the rows, pressing seams in one direction.
