Sew diagonal rows together as follows: ROW 1 and 3: B 2671/2” HST > C 671/2” X 26” STRIP > B 2671/2” HST ROW 2: C 671/2” x 2671/2” strip > BLOCK ONE > C 671/2” X 2671/2” 3. Sew ?1@ E HST to each of the four corners. BORDER ASSEMBLY Refer to QUILT DIAGRAM. MEASURE WIDTH AND LENGTH OF QUILT TOP TO ENSURE E AND F BORDER CUTTING SIZES. BELOW ARE OUR MEASUREMENTS. 4. E BORDER: Sew (1) E 1-1/2” x 45-1/2” border strip to each side of quilt top. Then sew (1) E 1-1/2” x 47-1/2” border strip to the top and the bottom of quilt top. 5. F BORDER: Sew (1) F 6-1/2” x 47-1/2” border strip to each side of quilt top. E BLOCK ONE L QUILT ROW ASSEMBLY Refer to ROW DIAGRAM. Take ?1@ A 271/2” square and either fold diagonally and press with iron or draw diagonal line on the wrong side. Place square right sides together in one corner of ?1@ D 671/2” square and sew on diagonal line. Press open with seam allowence towards the darker fabric. Trim excess fabric on reverse side to 1/4”. Repeat with remaining 3 corners of D square to create BLOCK ONE. Square to 671/2”. Make 5 D L L SNOWBALL BLOCKS (BLOCK 1) Refer to BLOCK DIAGRAM. Sew (1) BLOCK ONE to each of the remaining F 6-1/2” x 47-1/2” strips. Make 2 FBLOCK 1 strips. Then sew (1) FBLOCK 1 strip to the top and bottom of quilt top. FINISHING Cut batting and backing 3" larger than top on all sides. Layer backing, batting and top together and baste or pin. When quilting is completed, trim excess batting and backing.
