Back in 2005, Suncoast AutoBuilders was the designbuilder selected to transform an old movie theater
complex on Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa (above
left) into a 56,700sf facility for Century Buick GMC that
opened in 2007 (above right). The dealer, Ralph Ghioto,
made best use of the space by creating a forwardthinking sales and service experience for his customers
Ralph Ghioto, III
by including a fitness gym, a media/movie room, a nail
salon, a barber shop, and a large open café.
Repeat client Asbury
Automotive Group turned
to Suncoast AutoBuilders to
implement extensive interior
renovations at their new standalone Q Auto facility in Brandon.
The Q Auto brand, which stands
for Quality/Quantity/Quickly, is a concept Asbury is launching
to sell pre-owned vehicles. The Brandon location, completed in
June, is the first one to open in the U.S.
In 2013, Suncoast was called back to oversee the
implementation of GM’s new nationwide Facility Image
Program, with the most significant change being made
to the exterior facade (below).

“When we design and build or remodel an automotive facility, we
understand the owner is not only investing in the building itself, he’s also
investing in the dealership’s employees. They benefit because they will have
a new workplace designed to stimulate improved performance and enhance
each individual’s value to the operation. We’re not just about bricks and
mortar—we also factor the people into the equation.”

Las Vegas, Nevada | Ed Olliges
In Las Vegas, Nevada, repeat clients Ed and Steve Olliges utilized
Suncoast’s construction management services to remodel their
Friendly Ford facility, including their
new car showroom and parts and
service departments. The project—
which reflects the Fordland Design
Concept requirements—was
completed in April 2014.
In Brandon, Florida, Suncoast
AutoBuilders is the design-builder for
the new Courtesy Kia dealership that
is going up on the site where Koester
Buick once stood (Suncoast built that
facility over 20 years ago!). Following
Kia’s Core Branding Standards
program, the 42,000sf sales and
service facility will feature 18 service
bays, nine detail bays, and a car wash.
The existing Suzuki building on the
property (also built by Suncoast in
2005) will be renovated to house the
dealership’s pre-owned operations.
Target completion is mid-summer
2014.
