There’s a little shop in Waterford, New York, within walking
distance of the docks and visitors center, that has a big impact on its neighborhood and offers some great products for holiday gifts, ranging from small
desk clocks to large grandfather clocks, and everything in between.
Waterford Clock Co., a division of Sonlight Service Group, Ltd., is a family
owned business specializing in the sales, service and restoration of clocks of
all sizes and significance. Founded by Stuart McGeary in 1976, and managed
by Wayne and Laurie Marble, Waterford Clock Co. represents a valuable resource to cruising boaters because it is so close to the docks and services the
most common clocks found aboard pleasure craft.
Even in winter, a visit to Waterford Clock Co. is a worthwhile experience. They
sell so many appealing designs, perhaps one of them will be that elusive gift
for a loved one or colleague. They also specialize in repair of Howard Miller,
Herschede, Colonial, Ridgeway, Hamilton, Pearl, Sligh and New England
brands plus antique clocks (American, English, French, German, Dutch and
Swiss).
The Marbles are active community citizens, members of the Chamber of
Southern Saratoga County, the Waterford Community Business Alliance and
other civic groups. Laurie Marble also serves as Deputy Supervisor of the
Town of Waterford.
Waterford Clock Co. is located at 152 Saratoga Ave (Route 32) in Waterford,
NY, and is reachable at (518) 235-6596 or on the web at www.sonlightservice.
