The Oregon native says her favorite activity is North American big game hunting, but she is an avid hunter year-round and all over the world. Kristy is an active volunteer in the Wounded Warrior Outdoors program. She takes active duty service men and women, who are currently being treated in a hospital, outdoors as part of their rehabilitation. “Disability is as much a mindset as it is a physical limitation,” she says. “When you get these men and women out into the woods where there are no ramps, no wheelchairs, it gives them the ability to be open to doing anything.” Kristy uses PayneWest for both her business and personal insurance and says she values the communication and personal service she receives. TIG began selling tape into specialty markets world-wide. • Make sure emergency vehicles can get to your home. • Mark driveways with your name and address. • Post fire emergency phone numbers. • Build an emergency kit and make a family communications plan. • Plan ahead with several escape routes from your home . . . by car and by foot. Today, TIG specializes in corrosion control for steel pipe and concrete structures that are watertight, including wastewater treatment plants and large diameter pipelines. Protect your home • Use fire resistant or non-combustible building materials for the roof and exterior of your home. TIG eventually expanded the business to include other products for the wastewater industry including aeration and water treatment equipment. • Plant fire-resistant shrubs and trees. • Clear all flammable vegetation and hanging dead tree limbs at least 30 feet from your home. • Keep roof and gutters clean. • Stack firewood at least 100 feet from your home. • Identify and maintain an adequate outside water source such as a small pond, cistern, well or hydrant. In 2008 TIG took on a new non-metallic fiberglass road service Manhole frame & Cover. These covers are a fraction of the weight, and much stronger than cast iron covers, and do not corrode. TIG developed a new lock system for composite covers that are made right here in Central Oregon, and are now specified across the country and the world. TIG is the largest distributor for composite frames and covers in the USA. “We have been with PayneWest for three years and it’s the best insurance company we have ever had,” says Jeane’e. “Our agents Pat Boyle and Sharon Davidson check in with us regularly to make sure we have everything we need.” Contact your local fire department for more information about fire protection.
